Minnie's breakfast or Ariel's Grotto

your going to get different opinions on both the character meals, some like one some like the other, just pick one and enjoy, next time pick the other place. Thats what I have done :)

I would say do you prefer buffet or family style? Princesses or random characters?

I have not done Ariel's for breakfast (or really since they changed the meal set up) so can't give my opinion there. But we did just do Minnie's a few weeks ago and over all had a great time. Some of the food was better then we thought it would be and only the hash browns were only ok. We saw lots of characters, some more popular then others and overall had a great time.

I think in the end you will here pros and cons about both and you really should chose based on the first two questions. I think you will have fun no matter which you chose.

I have only been to Minnie's.

My kids know the characters at Minnie's better anyway (at that time..).

The food was FANTASTIC. Honestly, SO GOOD. My kids LOVED it. I liked that it was buffet style and you could get everything exactly how you wanted it.

We plan on making it a destination every time.

Well, I will vote for Ariel's, but only IF your DD really likes the princesses. I love the Ariel's building, the ceiling is beautiful as is the view and dining room. But for the $$, if she doesn't gush over the princesses, go with Minnie's.

Have a great trip whatever you decide.;)

I've never done Ariel's (that will be done in September) but my friend and I did Minnie's back in March and I can't tell you how much we loved it! The food was delicious, the variety of the characters was awesome, and the interaction was just too much fun! I want to do it every time I go, but I want to at least try them all once, so it's going to be on hold.

We just got back from DL and did both meals. We enjoyed the Minnie a bit more as we saw a lot more characters and they came around around the entire time we were there. We saw Minnie, Eeyore, Pooh, Rafiki, Max, Hook, Peter Pan, Fairy Godmother, Tigger, Chip and Dale. My kids got to see everyone, pose for pics, etc. And some of them came back twice. Hook and Peter Pan put on a spur of the moment show b/c Peter came out the CM door. Eeyore and Pooh danced with DD on the way out the door. Food was great.
Ariel's Grotto was fine, we saw CInderella, Ariel, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Belle. They all came by at the start of our visit, for a brief photo and signing, then we didn't see them again. For more interaction, choose Minnie or our favorite, Goofy's Kitchen!

i agree with here 100 percent!!we had the same experience!

Minnies has MORE characters and they spend more time with you, altho my dd is 4 and she LOVES the princesses. So we usually do Ariels.
Food is great at both places and you will enjoy either one.

Have a great time!

We've had them all. Ariel's with a family trip, Minnies, Goofy and Storyteller's with an ABD trip. I really like Minnies, since it's in the park and I thought it had nice characters and food. However, when I mentioned this to DD for this trip, she asked if we could do Ariel's again since her kids like the pricesses so much..even the boy who has a certain crush on Snow White...

We've done both and honestly we love them both. But we would rather do Minnie for breakfast and Ariel's for lunch or dinner, we like the food offered at Ariel's better at lunch/dinner.
