We are hoping to use a Minnie Van on our arrival day, Saturday Feb 22nd, to get from Pop Century to Wilderness Lodge for a 4:10 ADR at Artist Point.
Are Minnie Vans usually available in the afternoon?
How soon before our ADR time should we order one? Would 3:30 be ok?

I find it really hard to predict. We have trips where it seems we can do no wrong with Minnie Van availability, and others not so much. You never know when availability just may not work out in your favor at that particular moment in time, so I recommend being judicious with your prep timing (sounds like you are) and have a backup plan just in case.

Do you specifically need a Minnie Van? It seems like anytime we want a ride with Lyft, there are always several cars circling our area.

We have a 2 and a 5 year old so we need two car seats...

I believe there is an option in the lyft app to select XL sized cars with car seats in the event you cannot find a minnie van.

We've had a lot of trouble getting minnie vans last 2 trips (last 18 months). Hoping they expand the fleet soon!

Not on Lyft -- they don't have any vehicles of any size with child seats. Uber has some XL vehicles with ONE child seat, but none with two.

Minnie Van availability is hard to predict. 3:30 SHOULD be ok, but there’s always a chance you’ll have to wait a while. To play it safe I’d request one at 3:15.

Scheduling a Minnie Van, at any time during the day, is completely hit or miss. Our experience has ranged from being able to schedule one with only a 5 minute wait to not being able to schedule one at all and having to scramble to use other transportation. On our last few trips, we have played "Minnie Van Roulette" (this is for resort to park transportation only) - we schedule a Minnie Van and then wait for the bus - we take whichever comes first (of course, cancelling the Minnie Van each time the bus wins). I would say the bus has won 85% of the time.

Particularly as you will need two car seats installed (which you won't be able to tell the driver until they arrive), I would be trying to schedule your Minnie Van around 3:00 pm. If it takes 20 minutes for them to get to you (which is not unheard of), this gives ample time to install the car seats, drive to WL and check-in for your reservation. You may even want to call one sooner to be on the safe side as a regular lyft/uber does not seem to be a good option for you and having to scramble to get a bus to MK and boat to WL when pressed for time is not going to work. If you happen to be early, WL is gorgeous, so you could always walk around and explore - you can even ask the front desk for a hand-out which describes all of the artifacts and totem poles in the lobby or head to the BRV sitting area to see some of Walt's backyard train cars.
