Minnie Marathon-She Runs the World; who has participated

DD sent me informtion on the Minnie Marathon they are having the first weekend in May. They will have a 15k run, 5k and 1k run/walk. We are seriously considering going to the event. You can do a search on the Disney site for Minnie Marathon. It sounds like a lot of fun(the 5k or 1k!).

Have you done this before? What was the turnout?

The Disney Wide World of Sports website says "2006 is the inaugural year" for the Minnie Marathon...thus, it will be the first. So, NO ONE has ever participated. I guess you'll have to report back to us!

Thanks, I did not catch the fact that 2006 is the inaugural year. For information on it, you can do a search on the Disney website for Minnie Marathon and you should find it. The 15k is on a Sunday and the 5k/1k is on Sat. The cost is not expensive. There will be more info on travel packages later.
