Minnie Marathon hotel discounts

Hi, Moonie!! Long time, no see!!

We stayed off site for Minnie before and had no problem coming in. They will have the buses to take you from EPCOT to AK. HTH!!

Hey guys, since as I understand it there's no special transportation provided from the Dis resorts to the races at Minnie, is there any special advantage to staying onsite (or maybe I should say are there any DISadvantages to staying at a non-Disney hotel nearby)? Is there all of the traffic commotion that people experience during the marathon, or is it relatively easy to drive in from any location and do the park at Epcot thing? Mom and I are looking to save a few $$ on the hotel, and while the Pop or All Stars would be OK, I just want to see if we can do any better (but only IF it's not going to cause us problems with getting there!)

Hey Moon! You are right, there is no special transportation unless you book the Princess Package through Anthony Travel (with the stay at AKL). No matter where else you stay you are going to have to get there either by car or taxi so if you can save a few bucks I don't see a benefit to staying on site.

Yes, you drive and park at Epcot, then anyone can get on the busses to the start at AK.
