Good Afternoon!

We will be in the parks Nov 8 - 10. I have read that if you can, that it is really fun to do the Minnie Breakfast early because if it isn't a Magic Morning you get to enter the park through a special gate.

A couple of questions:
1. Has anybody done this?
2. Do you know what mornings are NOT MM at DisneyLand?
3. What is the earliest breakfast time?

Thanks!

I've not done this specifically (though the gate isn't all that special...just a regular park gate with a sign).
MM at DL is Tue, Thurs, Sat. (therefore, non DL MM days are Mon, Wed, Fri, Sun).
You can find out the first seating from Disney Dining but I THINK (not 100% sure) its usually 40minutes before park opening.

We have done this, twice! It's our favorite! Im not sure what mornings are magic mornings but I think they are Monday, Wednesday, Friday? I could be so wrong. I think we sat at 8:30am when we went in October and November. It was pretty amazing to walk down a completely empty main street. The picture of my husband pushing the stroller is so cool. We plan to do it again in December. I think it open an hour before park opens.
The gate we entered was to the far left and you just say we have a character breakfast reservation and in you go. Te same for Ariels Grotto. We got to see an empty California Adventure and be out 8min before rope drop!

Magic Morning/EMH at DL is on Tues, Thurs and Sat typically. You can use the special gate...gate #1 if you are partaking in the first seating regardless of whether it is a MM/EMH or not.

On MM/EMH mornings, the first reservation will be about 10 minutes after MM starts. On the days w/o MM, the first seating is about 20 minutes before park opening. They seem to be changing the start times here and there, so contact Disney Dining for the current info.

Thanks all! We are looking to do a character breakfast Monday morning so this just might work well for us!

Love this board ... a real wealth of information!

Okay, totally adding this to my to-do list for next years trip. Would LOVE to see an empty Main Street!!!

We did this our first visit and it was pretty cool to be one of the only people allowed in the park before it opened. A great way to first walk in to Disneyland. We loved Minnie's too. Went both trips and kids had fun even though my oldest was a little "too old" for it, she laughed through it all.

We went to Minnie's a couple of years ago. Our reservation was 20 minutes before regular park opening.

We used the official character breakfast gate, but weren't first in. They actually opened the gates half an hour early, so there were regular guests entering before us. They were only allowed in Main Street though.

We were escorted through the back of the shops on the right hand side of Main Street. When we emerged from the shops, we saw everyone else stuck at the rope at the end of Main Street.

So we didn't experience an empty Main Street, but we did experience an empty hub area with no people in front of the castle.

As I said though, this was a couple of years ago now. Looking at the previous replies, it seems it may have changed since then.

What's the earliest reservation you can get in a MM day if you don't have a ticket with MM?

We have APs and went last Saturday (a MM day) with an 8:10am reservation. It was the earliest available at the time. When we got there (through the gate on the far right) we were the second table that was sat in the entire restaurant. So, I don't think that there were many times available before that. Or perhaps I was not paying that close attention:confused3

As far as a I know, the earliest reservation given on a MM day is 10 minutes after the start of MM. That would match up with Avery's mom's experience of last weekend. Even without access to MM, you will be admitted to the park if you have a Minnie's reservation. You just need to enter through the gate designated for character meal entry.

We do this on our first full day , every visit! Yes, it's a gate off to the side. They will ask your names and the size of the party. Times vary based on park opening, and you can call reservations to check. They will also know MM days. Be sure to schedule early, to get one of the early times.
This is always a fun one to do, and when not on a MM, still fun. You can beat the crowds to rides, and it's a great way to take pictures on the way to Plaza Inn without people everywhere.
