For the plaza inn character breakfast, I have two questions:

1. Can you book it before the park opens that day and get into your reservation?

2. What characters usually are there? I understand it varies, but that there are some "standard" ones... I did it once but it was almost 20 years ago, so I'm sure things have changed...

I'd love to hear your experiences!

(We would be adults only traveling, no little kids... I used to feel badly about booking things like this, but what the heck. I'm determined not to let it bug us!)

1. YES! Say your reservation is at 7:30am and the park opens at 8am. You will enter in the Character Dinjng entrance. It’s to the left. You will show them your reservation and they will let you in the gates. Good thing with this is you can begin booking maxpass since you are scanned into the park.
2. Hard question since it varies. But Minnie is always there since it’s her breakfast. You get a photopass picture with her. It’s seems that Eyore, Pooh, and Tigger are always there as well. Some rare characters I’ve seen or heard of being there: Penguin from Mary Poppins, Gideon, Honest John, Max, Suzy and Perla, Mr Gepetto

Adults will have fun. My aunt and I went last year together. She’s in her mid 50’s and she said it was more fun than she thought. The characters are good at interacting with all ages.

I've also usually had Captain Hook and Goofy or Max, last year had Rafiki and had such a cool encounter with him and my son!

It is our absolute favorite character meal!

Just looked back at pics for you, that trip we also had Fairy Godmother and Chip and Dale as well!

The trip before that in addition to those, we had Brer Fox and Peter Pan!

Oooh okay! I'm trying to remember last time we went but since we did today's breakfast that trip too I'm having trouble remembering which characters are where. I do remember Piglet was there, which was awesome as he is my favourite and so rare!

The Winnie the Pooh characters are the ones (other than Minnie of course) we were really crossing our fingers for...

I've been there three times (2015, 2016, 2017) and had the same lineup each time. We saw Minnie, Eeyore, Winnie the Pooh, Piglet, Rafiki, Chip, Dale, Max (from A Goofy Movie), Captain Hook, and the Fairy Godmother. We had the least character interaction when we were sat outside in 2016, but Eeyore and Dale more than made up for it!

I took my niece in Nov 2019....in order we saw Minnie, of course, for a picture at the beginning, Chip, Honest John from Pinocchio, Rafiki, Eeyore, Max, Captain Hook, Dale, Penguin from Mary Poppins, and Winnie the Pooh. Tigger and Fairy Godmother were there too but we left before they came to our table.

There were plenty of adults with no kids when we were there. :thumbsup2

Awesome! This seems like a pretty solid variety

Honestly we like the idea of being in the park and the price isn't bad as far as character meals go... this is really something to think about

I don't have any input for the Plaza Inn character breakfast as DH and I have only done Storyteller's. I will say that characters are awesome with adult interactions and are very considerate about your boundaries. My DH is definitely not a meet and greet character person (he's super shy), but he even liked our interactions at the Storyteller's brunch. Chip came over and fist bumped him which immediately made him laugh. Then Mickey came in with a high five. It was so sweet how they were able to take him out of his shell. We still talk about how amazing that day was. So fun! :lovestruc

We went in early March and they wouldn't let us in for our reservation. We asked three different CM's and all three said there is no longer a dedicated character breakfast line. We were pretty frustrated as the lines were insane for the new Star Wars ride. I have used the character breakfast line before and always make reservations for before park opening. All 3 CM's looked at me like I was crazy when I told them I'd done it before. Plaza Inn was really nice about us being late.

This was my favorite breakfast before this last time. We saw Hook, Max, Eeyore, Minnie, and Peter Pan. We saw many other characters that never came to our area. We stayed long after we were done eating so we could at least see Fairy Godmother but it didn't happen. We asked CM's if the other characters would end up in our section and they said eventually. After 1 1/2 hours we left.

That being said I've been here many times and have never had this experience before. We will give it another chance next time we go and hopefully it will be back to normal.

I'm sorry that was such an unfortunate experience for you! I wonder why all the negatives came together on one day for you. I'm curious to hear what your next experience is like. Hopefully much better.

Where did they seat you? I’ve heard from people (not on these boards) that they had less characters while outside. The on a different day when they got seated inside they had 13 characters.

We sat inside, walk in and go to the right and our table was just off the buffet area. We've had other times in the same area where we got 10 characters. That was our max.

I'm sure it will. We do character meals every trip and this was the first time we didn't have a great experience. I was just floored that they said there is no character meal entrance when I've used one almost every trip. It was my friends first character meal and I had assured her booking before opening was the way to go. Totally backfired!

We have a club level room booked at the GC for our stay in July. If they are open by then I wonder what changes will be made with regards to the club level and access to food. Perhaps they’ll move to a server style versus a self-serve style?

I would like that!

This is fantastic. I was worried we would feel totally awkward being adults...

My husband and I have done Goofy's multiple times just us (we don't have kids). I think the characters take the opportunity to play around a bit more with willing adults. For instance, Pluto likes to cover my face for pictures so he's the star! And Baloo once stole my ice cream. :rotfl2:
