Can anyone tell me a little about this place. We're going to be celebrating my daughters 3rd birthday at Disneyland in February 2002 and was thinking we would have a meal at Goofy's Kitchen. Then, I heard about this place called Minnie and Friends @ Paradise Pier. Does anyone know which one is better as far as characters and food? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.......Thanks.

If the show is the same as it was 2 years ago, I would recommend the one at Goofy's for a birthday party. It is nice, but it is much more centered on a stage, with a kid-participation show by Minnie and Merlin the Magician. I t has been a while since I went there, maybe someone who has been more recently can tell you more.

When we were at Minnie's for breakfast in July 1998 they had the little show with Minnie, Merlin and Belle and Gaston. Belle sang a song from the movie and Merlin did a little magic show. At the time we liked this meal much better than Goofy's Kitchen. We went back last August and they don't have the little show anymore. We were VERY disappointed with the breakfast this time. There weren't very many characters there and only one character would come out at a time. The quality of the food wasn't as good and there wasn't as much to choose from as there was in 1998. The one thing my DH was looking forward to was the omelet station and they didn't have it this time. I would go to Goofy's Kitchen. They do a good job with birthdays. There was a little girl that was celebrating her 3rd or 4th b-day and the characters did a great job making her feel like a princess on her special day! I think they will set everything up for a birthday celebration-decorations, balloons, etc. The food was great and the desserts were even better! (I have quite the sweet tooth though!) Every 15 or 20 minutes the characters would have a little dance with the kids in the middle of the restaurant. When we were there they had Goofy, Chip and Dale, Snow White, Belle and Captain Hook. There may have been one more character there but I can't remember who. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions I might be able to answer, pm me.

Merlins was gone last year when we went. It was Minnie and variable friends...every 1/2 hour or so they did a limbo dance thing.
