Minnie and Friends not served during EMH?

I had planned to go to Minnie and Friends at the Plaza Inn at the first seating during an EMH, after hearing from others how magical it can be for a youngster. But when I had the chance to make a reservation, the website showed that Plaza Inn opens at 8:10 am, even though the park will open at 7am. Is this the new norm?

What day are you trying to make a reservation for? I just tried Saturday September 12 (7:00am EMH) and chose 7:00am as my reservation time and Plaza Inn shows a 7:10 spot available.

I hope you're able to find the reservation you're looking for. :)

I just tried for October 3 and same thing, had a 7:10am PI reservation show as available when I chose 7:00am as the reservation time, so it looks like they definitely are available during EMH!

A quick scan of various dates seems to indicate that they are opening at 7:10 am on Saturdays, but they are opening at 8:10 am on all other days of the week (in late September and early October, but I didn't check every day of those months).

When I made my reservation, 7 am was not an option, because the restaurant didn't show that it opened until 8:10. Now there is a message: "Sorry, a problem occurred while looking for the schedule. Please try again later." and no reservations are being allowed. I am hoping this means it is being updated to allow meals before 8.

Thank you, figment. That's not the news I wanted, but it is good info.

I have a reservation for 8:40 on 9/14 and DL does not have MM that day. So do we use the special gate for breakfast or will the regular gates be open to let people onto Main Street?

It is usually open 50 mins before regular opening on Magic Mornings. There are some days in Oct that don't match their regular time schedule. I have to say Oct has been a very difficult month to figure out dining.

I just got off the phone with Disney Dining, and the CM said that the 60th Anniversary seems to have thrown the people who set up the hours for a loop. When I pressed for more info about whether the Plaza Inn might serve breakfast during the EMH, the CM said that all of them had been told that everything is subject to change. The reservations currently available are the ones scheduling is comfortable offering (I am paraphrasing here), but keep checking back. Hoping this helps other people.

The earliest I was able to get was 8:10am on 10/10, and that day has a 7am EMH/8am park opening. Like you, I was thinking there should have been an earlier time slot, as everything I have read indicates they open 50 minutes before regular park opening. Was hoping to get in the park a bit early with our reservation! Oh well.

Keep checking. That's why I plan on doing. The schedulers hopefully will figure out their mistake and fix it.

I was able to reserve a 7:10am slot for Sept. 12th ( Saturday which has 7am MM and EMH) which is the earliest time slot.
If you look on the each day they will say the actual restaurant hours. I also find searching by specific time rather than "breakfast" yields better results.

Astylla, we have been doing just that. It looks like they are starting Minnie and Friends later during the week, but leaving the EMH hours alone on the weekends.

AHH I see what you mean , well I'm sorry my attempt to be helpful was at a loss.
I'd definitely check closer..who knows what could change. I hope you still get a time frame that works for you :)

No harm done, it never hurts to check. Im hoping both our posts will help someone else.

Even if it's not during MM, the first seating is still a good time to go. The bummer is that you miss out on the first hour the park is open, which is prime ride time. They may have shorter hours because the mid-week isn't as busy as the weekend during that time of year.

I just got off the phone with Disney, and we have a 7:10 reservation on a Tuesday!!!! I had to call for a different reason, and asked why no reservations were available during EMH, and the CM checked, and magically got me one! :jumping1: I am VERY EXCITED!!!!!:jumping1:

just did Minnie's breakfast at Plaza Inn at first reservation at 710am this morning (Saturday Sept. 12th/ 7am EMH) and it was amazing. The food was great and the character interactions were above what I expected.

As just 2 adults we love them all and they all had a blast with my husband and I. We saw Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Chip, Dale, Minnie, Max, Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore, Rafiki, the girl mouse from Cinderella (I forgot her name). They were all so great with all the guests and Tigger bounced with me and helped me choose a chocolate muffin, apparently Tigger loves chocolate too! Captain Hook photo bombed my husband with Max too lol.
Rafiki is a fan of the Baymax "fist bump".

I never had an opportunity to do these things as a kid so I seriously light up at these events. My husband thinks it's cute and I'm seriously impressed with all the interactions.

I just wanted to share my experience!

I hope you have an awesome breakfast!
