any updates on how Madison is doing? I haven't read any new posts for almost 2 months. I think and pray for her often.

Actually, I do have quite a few.

First, Madison was put on chemotherapy. After just 2 weeks, her blood counts had dropped so dramatically, from around 6000 to 1820. They had to take her off, because it was leaving her with absolutely nothing to fight off anything. The poor little girl had sinus infections and ear infections, and a huge sore in her mouth. She actually goes back in today to see if her body is stable enough for chemo again.

This past weekend, the family and friends had a benefit for Madison and her family in North St. Paul. It was to raise money to allow them to take time away from work to spend with Maddie, and to take her to Disney and buy a house. They got so much this weekend, it was incredible. Dad can now take time off without worrying about not making rent or car payments.

She is losing her hair, but otherwise she is in good spirits. She has become very clingy, to mom, to dad, to me...it is nice for me because I love her so much, and when I go over there, she wants nothing to do with anyone except me. It is very sweet.

She loved her cards. I am sorry that I did not get back to you all individually. It has been a hectic couple of months, and things got slipped into the back of my mind. Well, we were hoping that she would go to Disney with us in February, but mom is having a hard time thinking about getting on a plane. And, they have a 1 year old that they do not want to bring with at that young, but do not want to leave home either...so they are going to wait.

Mom just called me and Maddie starts her chemo again tonight...
