Minivan Rental in Jan from MCO...

Hi, rented a dodge grand caravan at Dollar Sept 29-Oct 6 (8 full days) for $177 base plus tax. I had originally used code KISSE and got base $227. But then I clicked on the Hot Deals and they gave me $177!!! I checked every day for cheaper rates. As the week got closer the rates dropped. Dollar was by far the cheapest out of all the onsite airport rentals.

Good luck and have a great time in January!!

Jamie

Thanks for the tip!! I'll definitely keep that in mind!!! I keep looking about once a week or so and still not seeing any sort of decrease yet! Oh well... we can live without the minivan if we have to... it's just so much easier! :flower3:

November 30th, and the pricing still isn't getting any better. Bummer!!! Most of the coupons I find expire on 12/31/09 and there are really no new codes coming out. I've still got my fingers crossed and I'm checking for better pricing... if anyone sees anything, please let me know!!! Thank you!!!

If you are searching for a car yourself, good luck!! I hope you find an awesome deal!!! ;)

Do yo know anyone with an Entertainment Book? Even the book that just eneded on Oct 31 has some coupons good though part of 2010. I got my National coupon for Feb 2010 from a Nov 1, 2008 though Oct 31, 2009 book.

Just keep looking everyday, I find it changes day to day. I first look at prices on Orbitz just so I can get an overview if anyone is looking promising. Then I look at Mousesavers for any codes for that company and my Entertainment Coupon book.

If you finally book something, keep looking! People were reporting early in the month good deals for late Spet (I think Alamo).
yup..

look everyday.. i even check twice a day at times...morning and evening. Prices always fluctuate and when I find a lower, i reserve it and keep looking.

try Advantage rentals.. they are off site but you get a shuttle. I reserved a car for my parents for 10 days last month... all the majors wanted $400+ for the same intermediate, but Advantage had it for $180. As the time went down, the majors came down to $250-300 but since we got the $180, that was by far the cheapest.

I just looked for you, and the minivan was $391 though now.
