Minimum Age for DCL App

Is there a minimum age for users of the DCL app? My 15 year old daughter is trying to set the app on her phone, and getting rejected saying she's not eligible to use it.

Could it be the settings on her phone? The APP has a "Children's Privacy Policy" as part of Privacy & Legal disclaimers.

Weird, my youngest was 12 on her first cruise and able to download the app, she couldn't use it on the ship for texting until we did something though. I think 13 was the age that didn't need some type of approval.

We've had issues before when our phone versions were too old to download/use the app...had to get new phones, since they were too old to go up to the version needed.

If she wishes to use the app on the ship, she does not have to anything on land before boarding. The app will behave differently once it connects to the ship’s wifi and will allow her to use its features. Like PP said, as a minor, she might need the approval of an adult in the same stateroom to use the chat feature.

Our 9 year old was able to use it on "his" phone last month. Without the wave phones it became a necessity for the kids to have it. We only downloaded it at home though and didn't try using it until on board.
