I don't know if this is the right area for this and with the search feature down, I can't see if it's already posted.. so here goes :)

Have you done either of the mini golf courses? If you've done both, which did you like better?

I have only been able to find pictures of Winter Summerland and that looks like fun. It would be two adults playing. Any information would be helpful :)

Thanks!

Yes, done them all. WinterSummerland is cute, Santa and the Elves themed and very colorful. It's also very compact, Fantasia Gardens is more spread out and is more formal/concrete looking.

Both have different feel, I think W/S feels more lush and fun so that's the one we prefer.

We've done Fantasia Gardens and it was a lot of fun. The one caution is not to do it in the middle of the afternoon when it is hot. There is very little shade and it gets really warm with all the cement. Yup, that's what we did the first time and pretty much melted.

Done all four. We're mini-golf-nuts.

Winter and Summerland is very themed and enjoyable, especially for kids. It reminds me of traditional old-school mini golf. A lot of fun.

FantasiaGardens is a combination of oldschool mini (Fantasia Theme) and then their Fairways, which is very long and VERY challenging. The hardest we've ever played. I loved it, my wife hated it. If you're okay with shooting 6's on most holes, you'll not mind Fairways, but if you're used to the 2-4 puts, then skip fairways. If you're a nut on mini-golf, though, it's a must do even if you shoot a horrible score. . . oh, and probably not for little kids. Plan for a couple hours as well since the course is so long and difficult.

If you have time, it's worth doing all four (barring Fairways presumed frustrations).

Cheers

Done both sides of Winter Summerland and the fantasia portion of Fantasia Gardens. They're all good, but Fantasia Gardens is our favorite mini-golf location of all time.

THIS * 10000.

We made this same, exact mistake when we were Disney Noobs in '01, took the kids in the mid afternoon, and it was somewhere between 163 and 204 degrees (+/- .5) on every hole, and I thought sure heat stroke was going to set in. It was * BRUUTAL *. No midafternoon minigolf.

On the flipside, a round in the evening after sunset is just as terrific, and if you're there late enough you can catch a glimpse of some fireworks as the park or parks close.

And we did Fantasia Gardens....

We have done both sides of Fantasia Gardens. The fantasia themed side was really fun and we enjoyed it.

The fairways, on the other hand? Waaaaaayyyy past my skill level. It was so far beyond hard it just became comical. At one point (I think it was hole 10), after stroke 6 or so DH's ball rolled under a rock and into some small, unseen hole in the ground never to be seen again. I could not stop laughing! :lmao: We ended up just using one ball and alternating shots for the rest of the round; there was no point in keeping score. If we got to 10 shots (there was no one behind us - probably knew better :scratchin) or even close to the hole we were done.

I would add this tip.

If you are going to play at the fantasia mini golf play the fairways course..... start your play about 10 minutes before Fantasmic. The back side of fantasmic is just accross the street from fantasia mini golf.

the show will start shortly after your round begins. and you can here the music, firewroks, and explosions for fantasmic while you are playing.

just adds some ecitment to your putting.

Totally agree!! It was fun but I couldn't wait to finish because it was so hot. And that was in Oct.

We went there our last trip and had a blast-but I'd like to second the mid-afternoon thing. We (foolishly) did this, and need quite a lot of rest, shade and Mickey ice cream bars to recover. And this was in the second week of December.

We've done Fantasia Gardens and loved it. We played after dark and it was perfect! I can't even imagine what it would have been like playing in the middle of the afternoon on a hot summer day YIKES! :faint:

Is it very crowded after dark?

We've played all 4 also, and had no preference over any of them.
All great fun.

Can't wait to play again this summer, hopefully as many times as we can.:cool1:
