Is there a website that has the mini wedding cakes on it? I want to order one for our upcoming trip because it will be our honeymoon after 5 years of marriage and I want to do something special!

Do you want the ones Disney creates?
Yes. We will be at the BC for our Anniversary this year. I would love to get a cake for our meal at Chef Mickeys.

Yes I would like a Disney created one. It has to have that magical Pixie dust! We will have afternoon tea at GF so it would come from there bakery.

If your dining at the GF (even at Gardenview), call the Private Dining office to order your mini cake. Private Dining handles all special event cake requests on behalf of the GF bakery.

Thank you! I was just wondering if there is a website I can look at these cakes so I can choose?

Sorry, no website pictures are available. But I can tell you this.

For non-wedding functions (25 or more), your choices are: #1, a traditional looking (victorian) 2 tier mini cake (the decorator chooses the design), or a single tier mini cake with a mini white chocolate castle on top. Both are $25

I like the mini castle cake pixiedust:
IntheKnow, I'm confused... "for non-wedding functions (25 or more)"... more? More than 25 people? How could a $25 cake feed so many?! Obviously, I'm not understanding. Also, I was given prices by someone on this forum who recently got a castle cake, and she indicated that the base price is now $45 for the 6" cake, and then you pay for the topper above that. Was I misinformed...? We're getting one for our upcoming 25th anniversary, and I would like to know going in that we have ordered the correct cake. Thanks for any info! ~Ev

I would ring and speak to them directly. I know that they offer more than just 2 styles of cake and they d let you choose the design yourself. We had a specific idea for a cake so i phoned the GF bakery directly and spoke to the head pastry chef, who was more than helpful! We managed to get exactly what we wanted and it was delicious!

I know several other brides on here have had cakes for their anniversary that have been duplicates of their wedding cake i remember seeing a nice under the sea one!

I would just phone them - they will give you all the help you need!

There are a couple of the "Mini Cakes" available from the GF bakery. I am having a couple sent to our room for DF when we go in July.

I have tried to copy and paste photos, but the PP pics don't work that way. So, I will try to describe them the best that I can.

Traditional- this one looks more like a traditional wedding cake. The pic shows lilac and pink fowers on the side, flowing down. I am sure the colors can be changed if you would like.

Swirly - all white icing with white icing swirls and "buttons".

Mickey Hat - the pic shows this as white with red piping around the base of the cakes. A red Mickey Hat sits on top, with small red Mickeys on the sides of the cake.

Champagne - The icing is a champagne color with all white roses cascade down the side.

Coral and Shells - this is a smaller version of the wedding cake. I think Fantasia Sam had this cake.

Mad Hatter - to me, this doesn't look like the *original* Mad Hatter cake. It is multi-colored fondant that looks like marble.

Mini-Castle Cake - a white fondant cake with a small white chocolate castle on top.

I hope this helps.

I know Cinderella Fan gave a number...I was given one this morning from the PS line...407-824-2955...I haven't tried it yet though...my anniversary isn't for six months:)!

Do you know how you pay for these and if they can be delivered to Pop Century? I am going to order two different ones!

Here is a thread from a few months ago that might prove useful to a few of you folks: click here. In that thread you will find links to a few types of mini-cakes that I saw during my FTW Planning Session in 2004. Please note that I do not know if all of those cakes are still offered – only the Fairy Tale Weddings folks can answer that question. However, there is a link in that thread to a mini-castle cake that D&R love Disney had served during her anniversary dinner at Narcoossee’s. From the description that IntheKnow mentioned in the above post, it sounds like that mini-cake is still being served.

I hope that helped. (And, IntheKnow, if that cake has changed, please let us know. Thanks.)

For returning B/G's considering obtaining an anniversary cake, here are the guidelines set by Disney as of last fall.

Anniversary cakes for the Grand restaurants and room service are made at the Grand Bakery. The Grand bakery is responsible for 95 percent of the wedding cakes on property. Due to the increase in business, the Grand bakery has delegated the anniversary cakes not served at the Grand to the other bakeries across property. Those bakeries are supplied with the same recipe's as the Grand, so your cake will taste the same as your original. The only exception is the Magic Kingdom, as they employ an outside company. If you truly want a cake from the Grand bakery, then I suggest that you try and contact you EM from your wedding, and see what they can do.

The Grand bakery no longer provides cakes for pickup, as it was unfair to ask the guest to find transportation across WDW to pick up their order when the other resort bakeries could provide the cakes. In addition, most guests had difficulties transporting their own cakes, resulting in damaged cakes and dissappointed guests.

IntheKnow is very knowledgeable regarding the GF and cakes, so I thought it would prove helpful to post what was stated in another thread last month.
