14 years ago October 8th my dh & I started dating. 6 years ago October 8th we got married and went to WDW for our honeymoon. We even have "It's a happy daY! from Winnie the Pooh engraved in our wedding bands!!) And this year we will be celebrating our anniversary in WDW. We will have our 2 children with us for their 1st trip so it is really about them but my inlaws will be there so we are planning on getting some alone time on our actual anniversary. I have noted our anniversary on our reservation and also on our ADR's but am not expecting anything from WDW. My husband would be mortified if the waitstaff made a big deal in front of everyone in the restaurant (like singing happy birthday, etc) - so I am reluctant to specifically order something at a dinner/for dinner. I would however like to get a cake and have it delivered to our room while we are out as a surprise. I have called WDW and tried to get an answer but have not gotten a call back yet. Has anyone ever had a cake delivered to All Star Sports. I know GF has it's own bakery and I know I could pick one up at the bakery there but this would ruin the surprise. I really do need it delivered to the room in order to surprise him.

and we are going down next year for our 10 yr anniversary, and I would like to know about this as well, anyone?

I would love to know the answer too. I would love to get one when we are there for our 1st anniversary.

I may be wrong but I think you have to get them at the GF bakery or a GF restaurant. I haven't heard of anyone having one delivered to a different hotel.

I had the concierge arrange ours and had it served as a surprise at dinner at Narcoossee's.

I checked into this on our last visit. They will not deliver to other resorts. You have to pick up items from the GF bakery yourself.
A possible exception might be if you were in a concierge room---maybe then it could be coordinated, but I can't say for sure.

I read on the wedding board that they will not deliver them any more because they are to fragile and were not getting to their destinations in good shape.

Called today 8/10/05 -

Okay, so I finally got a CM that gave me/found some information. I was told that yes this could be accomodated and that they need at least 48 hours prior to event/time you want the cake. You need to contact the food court at your resort and they should be able to make the arrangements for you. If you are looking to do this at a particular restaurant you would need to contact that restaurant. This works for me as we will get there 10/3 and I need the cake for 5 days later so I just plan on ordering when I check in. I will post back how this works out/if this works out when we return. If anyone does this prior pls. post so we all know the answer. Cost approx 25.00 and up depending on what you choose.
