Mini Van in Two Weeks!!!

Happy Happy Happy ... I think our problem has been solved thanks to the very kind and helpful advice of a fellow DISer .. looking to rent from an off site location with return drop off at MCO .. I am so grateful to all the fine DISers...

We booked a last minute surprise trip to WDW to arrive two weeks from yesterday and the price for the mini van is going to be almost more than what we paid for our 3 bedroom condo for the week.

OMG .. I'm starting to freak out. Our party is 4 adults, 1 teen, and 1 toddler. We could split into two vehicles but how fun is that having to drive separately everywhere .. pay twice in parking .. I had NO idea it would be this outrageously priced.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

We arrive MCO at 10:10 a.m. on Thursday, 12/18 and our return flight is on Thursday, 12/25 at 5:10 p.m.

1) Make sure you check on kayak, priceline, or other aggregate rental sites, and on as many individual rental car sites as you can think of.

2) It might be a tight squeeze, but you could possibly fit that party into an SUV. It could be there's less demand for SUVs that particular time and they could be less expensive. Minivans tend to be in high demand for rentals.

3) See if renting two small cars is less than one minivan for the week, especially considering the extra parking costs. If you're like most groups of 6, there could be times you wouldn't need both cars for some trips.

4) Check with a travel agent and see if they have any codes they could try.
