Mini Van Aisle with Alamo at MCO Question

I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a separate section with Alamo at MCO for the 7 seater and 8 seater minivans?

The reason I ask is that in Los Angeles when we went to Alamo we are able to select our own vehicle from the row of minivans there and there were both 7 seater and 8 seater vans. When we asked the attendant, he told us we could chose any of the vans that were there.

Just wondering if it is ths same at MCO?

We just rented a mini van from Alamo about 2 weeks ago. Used the kiosk and I think it took under 5 minutes We walked right out to the garage and picked the van we wanted. They were all lined up in the same rows. It was by far the easiest rental I have ever done! Have a great trip.

Do any of the mini vans have DVD players in them? I am renting one in NH to drive dowm..I know what they have in MCO may be different but I was just curious.

Thanks so much! We have rented from Alamo in Los Angeles and Honolulu and it has always been great. Their prices right now for my dates are higher than Budget and Thrifty but I am considering going with them anyways.

We rented an 8 seater minivan from Alamo in Los Angeles and it had the same storage space in the back as the 7 seater but it just had one more seat. We had 7 people and tons of luggage and a stroller but we made it work. We had the luggage whereever it would fit and some on laps. It worked and it was only a short drive that people were holding stuff.

I have rented a van in Los Angeles and 2 in Honolulu and they did not have a DVD player. Not to say it is not possible but we have not had them. I would call your rental counter directly and ask them if they have any with DVD players in their fleet.

Thanks for the response, I have done that & they said 25% of thier fleet have them..I rented from National last year, same location & got one with a DVD player..but Nationals prices are THROUGH THE ROOF this year.

Thanks for the replies on the size of the 8 passenger minivans. One more question: Is the ability to select from any van available offered at other Alamo rental locations? We will be flying into Tampa this time....?

I called the 800# and their customer service person told me that some could come with a dvd player. However, when we stopped at our local Alamo rental, to peak at the van we will be renting, I asked the guy at the counter if any have dvd's in them and he told me no. He said that they would have had to order them from the dealership and if they did request them their rental prices would go up. Hope this helped you out.
