My husband and I are headed to Fort Lauderdale in a few weeks. We are going to Bon Jovi's concert on April 18. 
We will be there the 17th and leave the 20th. Any recommendations on things to do? We did find a boat tour that shows you million dollar homes/boats that lasts 1 1/2 hrs. Think we will do that. We really would like to spend either Sat. or Monday on a beach somewhere. Can anyone recommend a nice beach? Would love one with white sands and pretty water. We are willing to drive too, so anything further south we would consider.
We're so excited to get away. I'm a planner and really don't want us aimlessly driving around trying to find something to do or ending up in a mall somewhere. I can do that at home!!
Any recommendations on places to see, great beaches, or good places to eat in and around Fort Lauderdale would be greatly appreciated!!!
Oh and what can be expected as far as weather in a few weeks there? Can we get away with shorts and capris or should I plan on some jeans and jackets? We're from Ohio where shorts don't happen until at least the end of May or more.
