Just got back from AKL concierge level (May 10-16). We started with our arrival at MCO early which didn't seem to matter much since the ME line was down past 2 car rental desks. I have used ME about 10-12 times and have never encountered this. I was a little shocked but the line did move fairly quickly. We got to AKL and went right up to the lounge. Our room was not ready but we figured we would go get some lunch. When we returned our room was ready and our bags were there.Love the room my only concern was the tub. I am a little vertically changelled (ok short
) and I needed something to hold onto to get in and out of the shower.There was a towel bar there but if you touched it feel down. Other than that the room was great. We did get turn down every day.I have stayed at this lounge before DVC. I really do love it. My in laws had decided to join us and they stayed concierge trhogh cro, but when they told us they were coming I made all my dining on my own. I only used the concierge to make the sunrise safari and the Breathless for an Illuminations cruise. A few weeks later I called recreation and found out my cruise was never made so I booked it. WHen the concierge called me I did tell them it was never made and they apologized and said they show that they were suppose to book it. It kinda reminded of the old Seinfeld episode they they can take the ressie but not hold the ressie (
). My only real problem was when I checked in they gave me a copy of my ressies that said I had the Sunrise Safari on Thursday, which was correct. They next morninig we are slowly getting up and see a note that says we are on the safari today (sunday). The phone rings and asked us why we weren't there and we said we are on for thursday. We had to bring the itin they gave us to the lounge to prove that they told us thursday. They told us they would take care of it. Needless to say Wednesday night I asked the lounge to check we were on for the morning and he said we were waitlisted
mad: ). The manager came to speak to us because they knew this was all their fault. They gave us a private safari at the hotel and dinner at Jiko's. They made up for it but I was still disappointed. We had a great time on the Safari and I had never tried Jiko's before and it was outstanding. My in laws enjoyed it so it was great. Overall it was a great trip and my in laws first time. My fil said he now understands why we keep coming back. He pictured a big Coney Island. That comment alone was worth the trip.
