Hi guys, just thought I would give you a very mini review of our 5 day trip. We stayed at the GC and it was fantastic. What a beautiful resort. The beds are very comfy and the rooms are real quiet. We had a theme park view and when the patio door was closed you could not hear a peep. The CM's were all very nice. The parks were very crowded but we got everything in that we wanted to. I have to say, I am a WDW vet and I really liked DL better than MK. Much more attention to detail. All I can say is WOW (!!!) about Space Mountain. What a thrill that was. We both liked California Adventure. California Screamin was a blast. We both thought food was a bit more expensive in DL that WDW. It was a great trip and we can't wait to go back.

Any questions?

We will be there in 13 days for the first part of our honeymoon. We are also staying at GC, so thanks for the review. Where did you eat? There are so many restaurants to choose from and we only have 4 days there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick post. DW and I will be checking into the GC on Sunday. We can't wait! We are going for 5 full days so we won't have to rush to see everything.

dischick4778 - Glad to see that you two are doing the Ear Thing. My DW and I had them for our Honeymoon to WDW back this past Oct and had a great time! Everyone was so nice and got a free desert too!:cake:

Well, one of my favorite dining places is right in your hotel ::yes:: Storytellers Cafe had a great breakfast buffet (or you can order from the menu). It is full character interaction now at breakfast (used to be Chip & Dale and sometimes Pluto just greeted you at the door), so it's not a quiet breakfast, but very, very yummy and fun. Their dinner buffet is also good, and I belive they offer it every night in the summer....but you might want to double check that (in the winter it was only on Saturday night the week I was there).

Another breakfast favorite for me is Carnation Cafe on Main Street (make a PS!). It's great to go to the park as soon as it opens, go do your top favorite rides then have a 10:30 breakfast at Carnation, and watch all the people pour into the park.

We ate at Storytellers for both breakfast and dinner and I would give them both a b+. For breakfast, if you are wanting an omlet, be sure to get in line right away. It can take awhile but it is worth the wait. Very yummy!

We had dinner at Hooks Pointe at the DL hotel. Very good and a nice short walk from the GC.

Had lunch one day at the Bakery right outside the entrance to DL and CA. Wonderful panini (sp?) sandwich.

We had dinner at the Wine place in CA. You eat outside on a 2nd story patio. Very nice and great service.

We did snack around a bit. Had lunch at the pool a few days and at White Water Snacks. Nice selection.

Oh, I want to do Hook's Point when I go in three weeks. I've ALMOST gone in there several times, then made other choices. :confused3 It is less expensive than Granville's right?

MinnieFan4ever: Another poster said that they were able to get EE every day it was offered as a perk for staying on-site. Was this, by chance, your experience as well?

This looks like a nice place to eat. Do you think I need a PS, I will be there in less than 2 weeks.

We had a PS for 7:30 on Thursday but didn't need one, it was only about 1/2 full. It wouldn't hurt to make one, but I don't think you HAVE to have one.

It maybe a little less expensive but by no means a cheap dinner. My husband had a pasta dish, I had fish, we both had app's and a glass of wine. I think my DH had a beer before dinner and the bill was a over $100, maybe 120 with tip. I will have to look at our bill again to make sure.

It was not offered every day while we were there. I know it was Thursday, but don't think it was on the weekend. I remember the CM telling us at check-in and I think he only mention like 4 days a week was EE. I knew we were only going to do it once so I really didn't pay attention. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
