Trip Report Mini Minnie's 3rd trip TR

So I have finished sulking that we are back from another Disney trip so I thought I would start on my TR. Day 1 is really short because

1. I took no pictures all day (Days pictures are pinched from last year or from Dave)
2. We didnt do much but drive and sleep.
3. Travel days are never that interesting.

September 25th

2.30 am

Mum and dad have pulled up the bags are all in the car and off we go. The journey went pretty quick I managed to get a bit of sleep in on the way to Dover. I also watched Toy Story 2 with Elsie.

The ferry was the same old same. A bit rocky from the bad weather but was over fairly quick. Elsie enjoyed herself playing with a brother and sister and pointing at the headless Mickey Mouse.

Drive from Calsis to Disney also went pretty quick we Watched Tangled and did a bit of colouring and soon enough we were spotting the Mickey Mouse signs.

Elsie fell asleep 10 minutes away from Davy Crockett

We checked in at Davy Crockett to get our easy pass for parking and made our way to the park.

The park was pretty quiet which was nice. AP's took 15 minutes if that.

Elsie with her Nana Dad (Elsie can't say Grandy yet so has branded him Nana dad) pointing and Ahhing at everything.

After a trip on its a small world and a hot dog at Casey's we made our way back to Davy Crockett.

this is where we are assigned the tiny cabin. Back to reception, they won't change us wouldn't be fare on the other guests apparently. How many small cabins do Disney assign to 6 adults?!?!?

Back to the cabin to unpack. After a little time relaxing in the cabin we decided to go and have a wander around the shop and collect our cleaning pack that they provide.

Back to the cabin for tea and in bed by half 8 (half 7 UK time) We were tired we had been up since 2 am and Elsie hadn't slept much in the car.

Shame you got a rubbish cabin luckily we've never really had any problems with rooms at dlp (never stayed at DCR but my mum has and they only have good things to say!)

Last year we had a lovely huge cabin I guess it is just the luck of the draw really.

We have had a horrendous room at Santa Fe as well the radiator was hanging off the wall, the sink had a huge crack in it and we had no TV remote luckily it was only for a night.

I will start on full day later hopefully just going through the pictures.

I couldnt live with out the TV lol! I need theback ground noise we couldnt turn ours on at all!

I dont have any video Dave has some but has got new editing software on his laptop and even though he taking a long time he is getting on with it. You will be busy with your own after your trip any way. xxx

We had gone to bed so early I woke at midnight thinking it was time to get up. I tossed and turned till 7.45 when Elsie and Dave woke. Our room was so dark I had no idea if it was morning or not! We all showered, dressed, had our breakfast and were soon on to our way to the park

Our little lady was dressed as Minnie today. So we decided to try our luck at seeing Minnie in the Disneyland Hotel. We had just missed her by 20 minutes. Oh well we are here so we will get in the line for Donald. We were next in the line and were told Donald was leaving now and we would see Pluto thats fine.

Elsie barks and howls at the sight of any dog and Pluto was no exception!
When Pluto got up to sign Elsie's book she got so upset because he wasn't playing with her any more. You can see in this picture that she had just been crying.

Most small children are scared of characters oh no not our Mousketeer.

So after a cuddle and a couple of photos with Pluto we and a quick look in the shop we made our way in to the park. We saw Minnie Mouse where Mickey and Duffy used to meet but it was a scrum so we decided not to wait. I quickly popped in to the shop to get Elsie some ears (that of course she wouldn't wear) then we were on our way to Buzz. A short wait probably 15 minutes. Elsie enjoyed all the bright colours and seeing Buzz.

After Buzz mum and I got stuck in the shop they really don't want to give you the shareholders discount do they?!? Well once we were out of there Dave and Elsie were no where to be seen.

Finally we found them Elsie was walking round and round the hub where the character pumpkins had appeared over night. She was pointing at them and telling us which one was which.

We saw the character train choo choo by Elsie had a little dance and waved at the characters.

We took a (very slow) walk over to Fantasyland. Stopping for a few photo's

After posing a twirl in front of the castle. Elsie had a go at the Sword in the stone she did one handed of course.

After pulling the sword from the stone we thought we would check out the wait for the mouse.

It is lovely in side there. I loved that they had the videos playing kept Elsie busy.

Mickey was amazing! Really amazing Elsie posed for literally 30 seconds then wanted to explore. Mickey showed Elsie round the room and the CM with Mickey was brilliant he explained what all the little bits in the room represented and pointed out some hidden Mickeys. This was much better then the Princess Pavilion we didn't feel rushed at all.

After meeting Mickey we thought we would have a ride on the story book ride. Nope Elsie would not wait she was not in the mood to be held so we didn't bother.

We decided we would go and have an Earl of Sandwich as we had been in Disneyland for 24 hours and still hadn't had one!

Well we couldn't walk past the new World of Disney again with out going in. So we had a quick look around there as well.

I loved their hats they had. Shame I cant pull it off lol!

Finally at a very busy Earl of Sandwich, I had the BBQ chicken, so did mum, Dad had Jamican Jerk and Dave had the I can't remember.

They weren't as good as I remember mine was really dried and dad wasn't that impressed with his!

Of course we had a look through the shops. It was nice and quiet so we had a good look. Elsie tried on some ear muffs

We went back to the cabin and we all had a nap. All refreshed and ready for dinner at Cafe Mickey we made our way out!

We arrived in the car park at 6pm our reservation was 6.15pm and it is such a walk round to the village now with all the bag checks. Dad ran on a head

We arrived about 6.10 and were shown straight to our table! Our hideous table! In the conservatory area right next to where they take all the dirty plates! WHY?????? The restaurant wasn't busy there were plenty of empty tables. So I asked to be moved to a better table.

Our new table was much better it was along the benches in front of where the chefs are. Minnie came straight over to our table and I was so excited finally Elsie was going to Elsie in her dress all tidy as she hadn't had time to pull her hair out yet. But Minnie was poor she literally just pointed at Elsie's dressed turned for a photo signed her book and she was gone. Elsie was a bit upset she cried Mimmie but nothing not a great start.

Well actually after going through my (12) photos, mums and Daves no one has a photo of Elsie and Minnie so may be she didn't even stick round that long!

After Minnie Goofy arrived and he was a bit better but not great. He signed her book took a photo played with Dave's hair and was gone.

We sat at our table for quiet a while no characters and our waiter couldn't spare a few minutes away from the conversation he was having with another waiter 6 feet away from our table. Finally we ordered a drink each 2 garlic breads and 2 pizzas. I asked about Elsie and he said she could have pasta or fries. Pasta it is last year we could order anything from the children's menu but I don't think our waiter wanted to waste any more time at our table.

Our 3 garlic breads arrived we only ordered 2 Oh well couldn't be bothered to argue so we ate it all up! Wow that plus the bread sticks is a lot of carbs STUFFED!

MICKEY MOUSE!

Mickey was much better I put Elsie down whilst Mickey was here and Elsie took Mickey to go see Tigger and they all waved at each other then Mickey picked Elsie up fro a cuddle and I brought her back over.

Our 3 pizza's arrived! 3!!!! Ok we wont be having desert because who knows how many will come out. We left about 3/4 of a pizza as it was just so much. Dave and I could of done with another drink but couldn't flag any one down to order one so ended up sharing Elsie's juice.

We also saw Tigger and Pluto they were great Tigger bounced with Elsie and she loved it! Pluto let her play with his whiskers and tongue which she loved!

Amazingly we only saw one birthday cake brought out!

It was still poring down outside so we thought Dreams would be cancelled and decided to make up for it with some retail therapy. I bought a few Christmas presents but that was it! The man behind the till said that Dreams was still on but it was so wet outside we didn't want to wait! So we went back to the cabin and we were in bed by 9.30! Hoping to see Dreams the next night!

I went to cafe Mickey in June and it will be the last time until I have my own kids! The atmosphere is gone and the reduced menu is poor. If rather go to a table service restaurant and enjoy myself in nicer surroundings!
Out of curiosity did you have to pay for the extra garlic bread and pizza?
I love Elsie's Minnie dress! Can't wait to read more!x

I think we were just really unlucky we have been 3 times before and had wonderful meals

I agree there are much nicer table service meals in Disneyland Paris.
