Hi, my DD 14 is hoping for one for Christmas and realtives are pitching in together so I need a teens point of view...which would you prefer and why?
TIA,

Pam

Honestly, I don't have the Dell DJ, but I love the iPod. It's easy to use, comes in nice colors, and can hold an extensive amount of songs.

Thankyou Bellhop....is it easy to lose or misplace as it is so small?

Umm, I guess you can always lose it, but it's not much more smaller than the regular iPod, so I guess it's easily lost...I lost mine, but found it later on. Now I've been using it nonstop.::yes::

Go for the ipod, Apple makes some great products, and the ipod is one of them. I have two, and mini, and a full sized.

I would go with the iPod. I have a full sized one and it is the greatest thing ever!! It can hold so many songs, it's easy to manage and bcuz of it's slim size you can virtually take it anywhere! ( I haven't heard much about the Dell DJ though) This is one of Apple's best products and I strongly recommend it. It's awesome!

I am not a teen anymore but I will chime in with one thing, an Ipod with 5 - 10 times the capacity of a mini ipod is only about $50 more.

Also, if you have a PC, you need to have IEE1394 (firewire) port on your computer - or USB2 if you get the adapter. Am I still right on this one, or are they including the USB2 adapter now?

Helpful info Razor...but DD is really attached to the lime green color of the mini. I think the capacity is o.k. for her as she has favorites she listens to over and over. :rockband: :D

This is a suggestion for anyone intersted in a iPod. Make sure that if you buy and iPod, that you buy the AppleCare Protection Plan for your iPod. It is very useful. I work at a Apple retail store as a "Genius", and I have many people that come in and have a dead battery, or the display goes dead. The iPod only comes with a 90 day phone support and one year warranty. This plan extends phone, and service support two years. It is worth it trust me.

Definitly get the mini. Apple is an amazing company and treated me great. Dell is a great company but seems to just be breaking into the mp3 music field. Apple makes an amazing product. I have a 20 Gb ipod and wouldn't trade it for anything. Hope this is helpfull. : ) :smooth:
