Hi all

We are planning a non park day and will have the hopper plus. I understand that these places are in the same general area but not sure how much travelling time it will take to get from one to the other and if it will be enough time to do everything in the one day.

1. I read that we can walk from Blizzard Beach to Mini Golf but not sure best way to get to Sanaa from BB. Do we catch the bus from Blizzard to Animal Kingdom and then another bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge? And is 1 hour enough for this?

2. We will be staying at Pop Century, so can we get the Animal Kingdom bus and get off at Blizzard Beach and walk to Summerland Minigolf?

3. I can see that mini golf opens at 10, how long would it take to get through one course? Is 2 hours enough?

4. If we then go to BB and have lunch and it closes at 5pm is that enough time to get a few rides in and just have a generally relaxing time? Not so worried about getting on every slide but a few would be nice.

5. At Sanaa can the kids use night vision goggles as dining guests or do they have to be resort guests?

In general, would this be a nice plan for a non park day? Obviously everyones pace is different but we just really want to see other aspects of DW other than the parks.

Thanks all.
Kim

I can answer a few questions because we just did the mini golf 2 weeks ago. At your resort you will be taken to Animal Kingdom. From there you transfer to a Blizzard Beach bus. The entrances to both Blizzard Beach & mini golf are just steps away from each other, really probably a 2 minute walk from 1 to the other. To get to AKL you would take the bus to AK, then transfer to the AKL bus. The ride to Blizzard Beach from AK was less than 10 minutes, so an hour to get back to AKL should be plenty of time.

I think it took us about an hour for a round of golf, but there were only 2 of us. And there was no wait for the course. I know they sometimes get busy & you have to wait til you can start to play. But I think if you get there early, there should be a minimal wait. So if you do 1 course I would think you will be done & heading into BB by noon. (Of course, if you have a lot more people in your group or there are slow groups in front of you, it will take longer.) Five hours at a water park is enough for me. Do you think your family will be ok with that amount of time?

I can't help with the night vision glasses. But your plans sound like a great way to spend a non park day. BTW, this was our first time at winter summer land mini golf. It was a great course, a lot of fun! Enjoy!!

That's a great response, thank you. I think everyone will be ok with half a day at BB as we will probably also go to the other waterpark for half a day as well.

Thanks!

I can't answer the bus question as I gave up on Disney buses to the water parks a few years ago. It just takes so darn long. If you are willing to spend a little money, I would recommend utilizing an uber, lyft or Minnie Van on your water park day. It will save you a significant amount of time.

I would recommend either going to BB or WinterSummerland as soon as it opens. Just know, crowds build at both as the day goes on, so if you go to BB after WinterSummerland, you will experience lines there. If you go to WinterSummerland after BB, there will most likely be a wait. Personally, I would probably do BB first, do the major slides there and then do the wave pool, lazy river, the kids' areas (the attractions that don't have significant lines) and then go to WinterSummerland later in the afternoon. The line for mini-golf, most likely, won't be as long as the water slide lines.

In general I agree with the above BUT it depends when you are going. If it is in the summer, minigolf would be more fun in the early morning (well, as soon as they open) before it gets too hot. Obviously, the heat wouldn't matter as much at BB. So if you are going in the middle of summer and are okay with maybe not doing all the slides, I would probably recommend minigolf first.

If it's dark they have the nvgs outside by the guide and fire pit. You don't have to stay there to use them
