"Ladies and Gentlemen may I have your attention please... The Disneyland Railroad is about to......"
For some reason that little saying sticks with me after the vacation is over. It is said before you depart every train station. They have different endings but the beginning is always the same.
We have the Disneyland soundtrack playing quite often around the house, which brings back a ton of memories. SO and I will often play "Name the Ride" (not to be confused with "Name the Movie").
Like someone else said, the railroad "Ladies and Gentlemen" announcement. And the seagulls, as I hadn't seen the movie until *after* our trip. The music playing in the esplanade always puts a swing in my step. And the piano teacher and dentist windows! I must stop and listen to them, and laugh!
This is totally DL for me. (I need a spinning teacup smilie here!) I hadn't ridden it in years, but when we took DS when he was a baby, we stopped to watch and it was like I was about 8 years old again.
The jazz band in NOS. The sound of Splash releasing as I walk by and the screams of the people as they plunge down. The "generator" in the line for IJA. The IASW clock tower...
The teacup music, the railroad announcement "You're attention please..." and "Hurry Baaaaccckkk" are all my favorites! We have the music from the parks CD and I can't listen to it while driving because I drift off into a Disney day dream!!
Woke up this morning to birds going crazy outside my bedroom window. It made me think of Snow White's grotto - all the birds chirping and her singing and wishing for her prince.
