Minding my own business at a grocery store...

Let me tell you about my crazy day! I went to the grocery store today and was talking on my cell phone picking my vegetables, minding my own business when I hear someone say mam mam. I turned around and said yes. A middle aged women said something so low I couldn't hear her. I said what and she said I am under arrest can you help me. I said no. She walked away and I saw her go up to an elderly lady. It freaked me out. I told the manager and described what she looked like when he walked by. I don't know if she was really running from the cops or was mentally ill. It just really freaked me out.

I know it really is if she was mentally ill. I would hate to live my life thinking cops were after me.

Do you think that maybe she was saying something like "cardiac arrest" and thought she could be having a heart attack?

Years ago when I was a teen ager, my Mother and I were in the grocery store and a man that was a neighbor of my Grandparents was acting like a fool and staggering around and appeared drunk. Turned out he was having
an insulin attack and the manager knew enough to give him a peice of candy bar to help him until the ambulance could get there. His wife was so grateful that the manager had known what to do.

No I am sure because there were two other ladies that were talking about it. She had gone up to one of them too. Then she went up to an elderly lady after me and kept going after her. There was also an employee working in the produce section and she didn't go to her, which if she was ill she would have gone to anyone. Most likely she would have gone to the employee first. She wasn't seen after that. There weren't any ambulances outside or anything.

Were your kids with you?

No thank God! I usually have my dd with me, (she is like her mother and loves to shop!)but she fell asleep. I was really nervous after the whole thing. I don't know why but it really freaked me out and I am sure she was harmless, but I am so grateful I didn't have my kids to worry about. Ds was in school and dd was at home with dh sleeping on the couch.
