I'm heading up to Milwaukee for a day trip in a few weeks and was hoping someone could recommend some good German food up there. Any suggestions?

Mader's on N. Old World 3rd Street is my favorite. It has a lot of history. There is a valet parking lot adjacent to it. I always have the sauerbraten.

thanks for responding! I was looking at their menu and I was wondering what the bavarian platter is?

I was kind of just hoping for a good old brat.

I always have the sauerbraten.

I go to Haus Murphy's in Glendale AZ for some ROXXOR Sauerbraten!

I only like my brats from the grill and cooked well-done (almost black). Most of the restaurants don't char-grill them. Why not buy a package of Johnsonville and cook your own? (of course with onions cooked in beer and butter! )

Yeah I know I can just grill some of my own, but I kind of wanted the novelty of going to a german restaurant and getting one :goodvibes
