Ok, if this is old news, and a repeated ? I apologize! We have been sooo busy lately I have not been able to do much preparing for our trip!
We are now about a month away and I am getting to the nitty gritty of daily itineraries (yes, I am a planning freak) etc...

I heard that it is closing in august? Anyone know for sure?
I pray it is not! My girlfriend is a millionaire aholic and I so wanted her to be able to play it!

Someone steer me in the right direction! Thanks!

It's last day is either August 18th or 19th. Trust me, I'm upset about this too! I was really looking forward to it, but I don't arrive until the 28 :(

Here's an address you can write to if you wish to voice your displeasure at the plans to close Millionaire:

Walt Disney World
Guest Communications
Executive Offices

Post Office Box 10040
Lake Buena Vista, Florida 32830-0040

wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com

Be sure to include your name, address, telephone number, and e-mail address.

It is closing mid-August, I am not sure that a final date is set but for those traveling closer to the Labor Day holiday you might be out of luck. There are reportedly plans in the works for a replacement in those soundstages...

We went to Millionaire in May - we were upset because the "show" was really brief. I love Milionaire but didn't think this was worth the wait in the lobby, then to get everyone up and into their seats, then the pre-show stuff. If the actual game show part longer, then I would have enjoyed it much more and would be more upset at hearing it is closing.

So what will be replacing this show?
I thought Millionaire was very popular-why would they suddenly get rid of it?

I'm happy with the close. Doing it once is enough and even once is disappointing and I hear that the new Toy Story ride to replace it will be awesome. :thumbsup2

I respectfully completely disagree. We have spent at least a whole day at Millionaire on our past two trips. It is one of our most favorite things about WDW. Very, very sad to see it go.

I loved Millionaire, but I'm also happy to see it close -- it is making way for what sounds like a great, new attraction. I would hate to see the parks become static and stale.
