Millionaire Closing in the Fall?

I just got back from a five day trip to WDW with my middle child. The boat driver on the cruise from EPCOT to MGM saw me wearing a WWTBAM-PI hat and had to announced that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire-Play It was closing in the fall. I know that bus drivers and boat pilots are not great sources but this guy was positive that WWTBAM-PI was being shut down.

I got onto the hot seat later that day and my DD got on the hot seat the next day. None of the cast members we talked to at the attraction were aware of the rumor.

There were really good crowds at almost every show we attended. Several shows were full to capacity with there being no empty seats in the attraction. There was also a million point winner on Friday, August 3, 2005 which was very exciting. A lady wearing a Baylor shirt became the 108 million point winner.

I love WWTBAM-PI and time any visits to so that I am eligible for the hot seat under the thirty day rule. I really hope that this attractions is going to around for a while. I understand that the filming of the syndicated show at the attractions went well and that it is cheaper to tape shows at WDW than doing so in New York.

I hope not! I loved Millionaire and I was hoping to get in the Hot Seat when I go back in Jan./Feb. I don't know why they would close Millionaire at all. Even in the value season, it is full to capacity! Please say it isnt so!

Every bus driver and boat pilot that has ever talked about monorail expansion was positive about it too. They are also positive that the Swan and Dolphins black squares can and were planned to be removed for a monorail line to run through the resorts.

My point is never trust a CM, any CM. While many CM's are very good. The fact is that Disney does not tell CM anything before they tell the general public. If they do plan on closing WWTBAM even the cast of the show will not find out until they tell the general public.

Funny this point should come up. Two CMs {mother and Daughter} were friends of my next door neighbor, and we would talk to them on occasions when we were all invited to my neighbors for a bar-b-q or some other party. They told us that CMs were encouraged to make up stories and to out and out lie to guests about rumors that a guest may bring up, just to keep anyone from knowing what was really going on.

{hey, I just realized something, maybe they were out and out lying to us about CMs out and out lying!} :rotfl:
Seriously though, this was what they claimed CMs were encouraged to do. One of the things they told us {which was obviuosly the truth,}was that an outside company was going to build a time share on land boardered on 3 sides by Disney property loooong before they started building the Fairfield time share resort next to the CB.

Ain't that the truth...just look at how clueless the CM's are every time a new policy/program is released. :rotfl2:
