Millionaire Closing.....Anything Special going on??

Checking to see if anyone has heard about anything special for the closing of Millionaire on Aug 19. Does anyone know if there was anything special done in California when they closed?

A number of fans of the show will be there. I was at WDW last weekend and was told by a CM and by a past million point winner that a number of past winners will be in town for one last try on the hot seat. It was very competitive this weekend with some great rounds.

Seriously though, to answer the OP's question, I don't know of anything that is being planned by the show itself. However, if anyone is interested in getting together for a meet I'd be happy to participate. I plan to be at Disney-MGM Studios all day on Friday and Saturday.

I am usually pretty up to date with whats going on at Disneyland and as far as I can remember the closing of WWTBAM out here was a surprise to me. Now the building is being used for catering. Go figure

Not necessarily...I had a very good run a couple of weeks ago.

I was glad to hear someone else won the cruise, I would not have wanted to be the final winner. But lucky #126 is out there, I know it. It would be great if another one of the disboards family won.

I'll be rooting for you guys here in Jersey. I wish I could have been there for the last day but the airfare was just too out of hand so we had to settle for last weekend.

I found it was pretty competitive and the people in the Hot Seat were decent players for the most part. It makes the game more fun, IMHO.

My son did not make it onto the hot seat this trip but had a great time. He was close several times but every round that he saw were good rounds. The quality of hot seat contestants was very high and there were some very good rounds that were fun to watch.

Thanks for input from all of you!!!! DD and I have each made it to the hot seat. Got pins, hat, lanyard and shirt, but no cruise. Would really love to see anyone win a cruise that final weekend, but esp. me

You'd think so, but since I work for a company that works directly with schools, I do. Irony of course, that summer is probably my busiest time of year. Once the kids are back to school, we're ready for them.

I'm sorta bitter that my birthday is one of the blackout dates for next year.

Now go win that cruise already.
