You have inspired me to make my first post on DisBoards.

I booked a cruise for my three daughters and me in December 2009. My husband and I had been to Florida before any of the girls were born, and we have been to Disneyland Paris 4 times with them. However life changed for us last August as Ian passed away and the girls and I have been left picking up the pieces of our life. We are due to be on the Disney Magic from 30th July - 7th August 2010. I want them to be somewhere happy, full of dreams and memories, not at home reliving the events of that week last year. I have been reading a great many of the posts on DISBoards since I booked but had not ever posted before.

However, your beautiful designs would be gorgeous with my daughters names on them. I don't know how you go about asking for a particular design or paying for the finished items. Perhaps you could advise me or put me in the right direction for an answer. I am not really sure what I would like, but something with their names on it and the Magic and cruise dates I guess. if you advise me how I go about getting something made then I could think more clearly about what it might be possible to get. I trust you get this and it makes some sort of sense.

Wow, you've been through a lot. Your story is touching, and I know that you will find many who are willing to help. There are great forums and people are all really friendly and easy to chat with.

Nobody here charges for their DISigns. They do their work out of the goodness of their hearts, and are happy to see their work enjoyed. All DISigns are not for profit, and only ask for their credit to be given where it is due. Currently, Millie is moving. However, most of her DISigns I can help you with. At the bottom of her posts are two DISNEY's. Each one will take you to where she stores her DISigns. Please look through them, there are hundreds. You will find some that will touch you and your girls.

To request, just let us know what you want, and what you want on it.

When you get ten posts, you can PM, and post pictures.

Thanks soo much for getting back to me. I live in the UK and its almost midnight here! Not sure what time it is with you?

I will certainly follow the link to Milliepies designs and look through them. The girls called Ian their "Mr Incredible" and loved to see him wearing his Mr Incredible T Shirt. Appart from that they all have their own favourites - my 10 year old is a Jonas fan, and of the twins, one is a girlie girl and the other loves Buzz lightyear - and shes a girl too!! Will look at the designs and get back to you. Cant believe you guys do all this work out of the goodness of your hearts! FANTASTIC and very GENEROUS.

I have read the 30th June "Cruise meets" thread. The reason I havent posted on it is my own insecurity. Yes, the girls will enjoy making friends and thats part of the motivation for booking a cruise - I'm just not sure what company I will be. It will be in rather emotional time for me, being on holiday enjoying myself while also getting my head round Ians anniversary. Guess I wont really know how I will feel til I get there. I've bought myself a new Lumix TZ7 camera and cannot wait to snap many happy photos of the girls enjoying life. The last two at Disneyland Resort Paris I have taken between 600-700 photos in 5 days! Not sure how many I will take on the cruise.

Anyway, thanks soo much for your response. I will look at the designs and see what the girls would like best - It will be tomo at this rate as its now gone midnight!

Hi again

We will be announced when we board as Rebecca, Sarah and Aileen Macfarlane and their mummy, Judith!! I have read a thread about what funny things you can have yourself introduced as - my girls will just be blown away to hear their names called out. They know nothing of the cruise. Because of Ian's poor health we never told them about holidays until the morning we set off for the airport (and I genuinely mean that, they knew nothing at all) just incase Ian was in hospital and we didn't get to go - that happened once and only Ian and I (the big kids!!) were dissapointed!! I felt the cruise would be a good place to be as a single parent because there would be things for us to do as a family but also things to do for me - a little "me" time which I don't get a lot of, but plenty for them to enjoy going to that I would have to feel guilty if I go to the Spa, Gym or Cove Cafe without them!!!!

Have you cruised many times before?
