Millenium Buffalo airport hotel?

Do you still get the Marriott in Buffalo using the 3 1/2 star option on priceline?

I got the Millennium back in Nov. as a 3 1/2* bid, I don't know of it's still coming up now.

Remember that star values have nothing to do with hotel quality, only hotel AMENITIES (e.i. pool, spa, restaurant, bar etc.)- I've stayed at great 2*& 3* hotels, and some REALLY bad 2*-4* places. I always expect a 3* to be good because it's always higher in price but that's not always the case :sad2:

We stayed at the Buffalo Marriott our last trip and were very happy. They took us to the airport, picked us up and kept the car at no extra charge. I think we paid less than $70 for the one night on priceline.

We just need a place to sleep and know what to expect if we can be sure to get the Marriott again.

Unfortunately for me, I've never had the Marriott come up (for Buffalo) that's the one I always hope will come up but it never has.

Holiday Inn Express across from the airport used to be a 2 1/2* (not sure if it still is) and that was the best priceline Buf hotel that I stayed at (4x). But that was a quite a few years ago. And I'm always too scared to bid on a 2* because there are some really bad ones that "could" come up.:guilty:

The Marriott is a 3 1/2 star choice so if you don't go to 3 1/2 you will never get it. Unless that has changed????

yes it's still a 3 1/2*, but I've only ever got the Millennium when bidding in that category. All I'm saying is that the Marriott has never "accepted" my bid for a 3.5* (which is the one I was hoping I'd get)
I always start my bids 4* and work my way down using free bids, I chicken out after 2 1/2* cause I don't want to end up with a dumpy hotel.but when I've got the Holiday Inn Express, after dropping choice down to a 3* then 2 1/2*, it was actually better than the Millennium @ 3 1/2*

So we just got back from using the Millenium as the rate was good. We had no problems, the hotel looks a bit run down but when you spend only one night there, it's not that bad. What I was surprised about though was the breakfast. I knew before hand that they only started serving at 6:30 a.m, and was fine with it, but after reading here that they would pack you a breakfast, I thought why not ask. So at check in they put me on the 6:30 shuttle so I figured I'll ask for a one to go, but was told to come down and 6:30 and ask for it. Well, even at 6:30 there was nothing ready - they said maybe muffins would be ready but it was not. As I before, the deal was good that we could buy breakfast at the airport, but its just that I found them inconsistent with what they did to each guests.

All in all, worth the 100 bucks with parking.
