Milkshake as a beverage?

I know this has been asked before, but at which restaurants does a milkshake count as a drink versus being counted as a desert?

Thinking about WCC and Sci Fi as an example.

Ditto for our family of four last week at WCC.

BTW, since we knew we were having the skillet, we knew we didn't need the 4 desserts. So, we ordered only 2 desserts for the four of us to share at dinner and we ordered 2 orders of the fresh fruit dessert plate and boxed them "to go" at the end of dinner. Then we put them in our fridge and made two healthy breakfasts of them the next morning instead of burning 2 snack credits (which we saved for pineapple floats at Aloha Isle in MK later in the week).

Last week I had a milkshake at Olivia's(OKW).....awesome.
They had vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. Counter service(goods to go) also had smoothies for a snack credit.

BTW Olivia's is a hidden gem....

Milk shakes at Whispering Canyon were allowed as a drink, then we got the fruit plate w/ yogurt for dessert. We asked for this "to go" and enjoyed it for breakfast the next day..

Sci-Fi they said the milkshake could be used, but as dessert.

Maybe you had a grumpy server! When we went in January, we got milkshakes and desert! I was so full!

What about some place like Pinnochios?

At Pinnochios the milkshake counts as a dessert. My kids had the shakes and we ordered a couple of bottled waters for their drinks and took them with us for later. The milkshakes are more like a soft serve...more like a Frosty at Wendy's.
