I need to buy milk for cereal and would like to buy larger quantities like a 2 litre jug and not small individual cartons to keep in my mini fridge at the DLH. I have heard that whitewater snacks sells larger jugs for their dvc members. Is this true? If so am i going to have to pay a fortune for it, and can anyone buy them or do have to be a dvc member?

You might consider having some groceries delivered. I did that last time when we did not have a car, and it worked beautifully. I placed my order weeks ahead of time, and scheduled delivery for the evening we arrived. I was able to get a case of Water to carry bottles into the park, and snacks as well as breakfast items. And best of all, I had diapers and baby wipes delivered so O did not have to fill up room in our suit case. It was a wonderful experience, and so easy.

Back in June at White Water Snacks, a 1/2 gallon of milk was $3.29.

Hope that helps.

Sounds about right. The 1/2 gallon is the largest they sell (so it will fit nicely into a mini fridge). Otherwise, if you have a car or the weather isn't too bad (for a walk), you could try the 7-11 at the corner of Harbor & Katella.

Thankyou, we won't have a car so being able to buy the half gallon at the hotel will be an easy option for us. Does the little store in GCH sell other staples like cheese and yogurt? Also how far of a walk to the 7-11 from the DLH ? My hubby might want to buy beer :)

Yes.

Here's a few things:
String cheese (single serving) $0.99
Kraft Singles (package...can't read quantity...maybe 12 slices) $3.99
Philadephia Cream cheese (Spreadable) $2.99
Butter (1/2 lb) $2.19
Orange Juice (1.75 L) $6.49
Oscar Meyer Deli Fresh Turkey or Ham (9 oz) $5.99
Dannon Yogurt (single serving) $1.99

If you are planning on buying more than just milk, I would really consider placing an order with Von's and having it delivered. You can even order alcohol. We recently did this on our trip and had them deliver to the DLH. I can't believe we had never done it on past visits.....so easy.
