See it as soon as you can. It's an amazing story. There we were, four straight 40yo and up, soccer Moms eyes glued to the screen. The conversations for all of us after have not stopped. The acting is superb. The facts, riveting.

I might if it weren't for Penn who happens to be one of my most hated actors of all time. There are only two movies I liked him in and those are ooooold. I don't even know why I dislike him, but he gets under my skin.

I'm tellin' ya, Penn makes this film come alive. You might just have another film you like him in. We remarked that we forgot we were watching Penn until once in a while you got a glimpse of his biceps. Doubtful Harvey Milk was so well endowed. Anyway, I get loving or hating Penn; this time he's fantastic!

Well sooner or later I probably will see it anyway... Im one of those people with no life, and I end up seeing everything under the sun. If I could sit through Black Christmas (omg was that bad), I think I can watch anything.

Black Christmas or Black X-Mas (the recent remake)? The one from the 70's was much better!

I hope to see Milk soon, if not I'll just buy the DVD (hopefully it makes general release, so far the signs are good).

I know what you mean. My husband is constantly walking into the room saying, "WHAT are you watching!!!!???" I like to watch em all, the good, the bad and the ugly. I draw the line at horror.

A real "MUST See" Movie-with so many twists in the plot its a mind blowing experience!

Penn deserves major kudos for this!

They expect him to maybe get an Oscar for this role. This will be on my must see list! I love Sean Penn and the reviews were great, the stroy is compelling!

While I havent seen it, I would assume with the history of the events that it's probably mostly language, with some violence.

If you look it up online, you can probably find out why it got the R rating.

I Pm'd you because some of the content can not be described here on the DIS. The murder scene and one other death scene is more graphic than any of the sexual content but there is definitely some and lots of guys just hooking up pretty loosely. Advance discussions would be in order.
