Milk

Do you still drink milk? I just had a slice of Chocolate cake with peanut butter icing with an ice cold glass of milk. YUMMY!

My husband thinks I'm nuts and says that only babies should drink milk.

Do you drink milk? Are there certain meals/foods you really like a glass of milk with?

Skim milk and water are my drinks of choice. I do have a couple of friends that give me a hard time about it.

I love milk with just about everything...pizza, hot wings, cake, cookies, sandwiches, I could go on. lol I remember when I went to college I loved to go to the caff so I could drink as much milk as I wanted, the heck with soda. My husband loves milk too, it is our drink of choice.:rotfl2:

I drink milk... everyday at least once. i think it' the most delicious refreshing drink ever. I don't think i really drink anything else in the fridge unless we have cranberry juice.

Yes I do. I love skim milk.
I don't drink as much as I used to, but I still drink it.

Blech. I've never liked plain milk. I tolerated it for cereal when I was younger. I only use milk IN things. I love dairy foods, just not plain milk. Though I do like chocolate milk, but my stomach doesn't.

I love milk! I've really had to cut down on it. I learned the hard way from Weight Watchers years ago not to drink all my calories. I'm not dieting right now (should be  ) but I still try not to drink a ton of calories.

I just can't drink skim milk. The lowest I can go is 1%.

ick no - yuck. I don't even make my kids drink milk.

I can't remember the last time I had a glass of milk???? Maybe as a child?

My mom also thinks milk is disgusting so I'm sure I didn't have to drink it.

We do buy 1/2 gallons but we don't finish them before they go bad.

We're a family of four with a four-gallon a week 1% habit. Yeah, you might say that we like the stuff.

I absolutely love milk. As a woman, the vitamins and minerals found in milk are extremely important to your bone strength and preventing osteoporosis. Don't stop drinking milk and you'll be less likely to have to take Boniva or some other medication to restore bone density later in life.

I don't really drink milk anymore. I still get plenty of calcium and vit. D and exercise, so I am not worried about bone health, but since my DH is lactose intolerant and he only drinks the weird Lactaid milk, which I cannot stomach, I kind of stopped drinking it. I use it in coffee and on cereal, and very occasionally I will buy a small jug and drink some with a decadent desert.

Yep, I drink milk at least once a day, sometimes two or three. I have other dairy products as well, but I almost always have milk in liquid form.

My granddad owned a dairy farm, so my mom was raised on lots of dairy products as were my brother and I.

Between three of us now at home (and the occasional twins) we can go through a gallon of milk every other day, quicker if we are using it to cook as well.

It's the one item I never skimp on. In fact I brought a bottle of milk with me today in my lunch.

We drink fat free milk which is basically skim. Anything higher is like drinking cream. blech! I have been known to drink 2% in resturants or cream in coffee, but given a choice it's always skim milk. Which ironically stays fresh longer. It's the fat content in the milk that goes bad, not the milk itself, but it never hangs around long enough around her to even think about going bad.

I LOVE milk!!!! I drink about 2-3 glasses a day. I would drink more if it didn't have so many calories in it.

I love milk with cereal, chips, salsa, spaghetti, pizza, buffalo sauces and sandwiches.

my bil is a vegan/vegetarian(what ever he feels like being that day) says that "humans are the only animals that drink another animals milk". well I say that "dogs eat their own poo sometimes, get over it":lmao:

Adults don't need milk. There are so many other foods that have Calcium and Vitamind D!

Add me to the Moo juice fan club! I love milk.

Oh yeah. Nothing like a stack of warm brownies or chocolate chip cookies and some ice cold whole milk. I'm getting a craving just thinking about it! LOL!:cake:

Ok, well I'm off to the kitchen to make brownies to have later with a tall glass of cold milk. Thanks :rotfl2:

I am with LadyyRedd, My Dr told me that there is a reason alot of people can't handle milk, we were not designed to drink it, however if you like it more power to you. I can't stand the stuff. and Dr also said that our bodies have to work too hard to get what little calcium there is in milk and we end up depleeting other nutrients to get that calcium.

What's interesting is that I never remember how much I love milk until after I have a glass. When I was a kid my parents got skim milk...I hate skim milk. Now that I'm a grown up I drink 2%. I remember as a young child visiting my grandparents and going to the milk store where they filled refillable plastic jugs with whole yummy milk.

Exact opposite here, we only drank 2% growing up and I liked it then, but we only drink skim now. My girls are so picky that they won't even drink the 1% and you should see the look of horror if someone tries to give them whole milk!!

Good thing they drink skim though because they go through a ton of it!!

There's nothing better than a glass of ice-cold skim milk!

I couldn't agree more!!! :thumbsup2
