I have an 11 month old that we will be taking to Disney in December at that time she will be 1.5 yrs currently she is very allergic to anything that has any milk in it and throws up really bad if she does get milk. I'm hoping that in the next 7+ months she grows out of it, the ped said most likely she will sooner or later that most do. But how do I handle food in the world. I know being under 3 she will eat free at the character breakfast with her older sister who will be one month shy of 3 when we go, but I have to be so careful that she doesn't get milk. Do I pack food, request a dairy free diet in general for me so that she can eat some, Help? I know that for milk we are taking Isomile 2 which is for the second year of life for kids with milk allergies so I don't have to worry about a frige with milk, just add water and shake. Thanks for all your help.

Once you decide on your PS's (also make notes on your PS)call disney and ask to talk to the Chef's at each restaurant you are going to. Let them know you are bringing a child under 3 with you that has milk allergies. They will work with you to make sure she has something to eat.

We don't have any allergies, but I'd mention it to have it noted on your PS record as sneezy said, then call the WDW Executive Chef's Office: (407) 824-5967
They deal with all the menus at WDW (from full service to food carts) and will be able to help with your questions.
Then, I would talk with the server and the chef at each restaurant at the time of your PS.

Some things my milk allergic son eats in Disney World:

Hot dog cut up with no bun at Casey's in MK
Itzkadoodle popsicles
Hamburger no bun at various restaurants
McDonald's fries

Most restaurants have food ingredient lists and food allergic people are permitted to bring snacks in the parks.

We're going in October. I made a PS for Cef Mickey's. They noted my child's allergies, and transferred me to a chef there. He was Wonderful. I just need to call back 7 days before we leave to confirm (with a chef). They are going to make a sorbet for DD's dessert as well. WDW is the only place I really feel comfortable taking my DD3 with her MULTIPLE food allergies. When we get back I'll post a trip report as well.

Thanks, Strings. That's good information.

My son is lactose intollerant. Does anyone know if there is soy milk available in WDW resort food courts or in the parks?

We were able to get a hot chocolate made with soy milk in Disneyland in March.

Thanks,

EthansMom
