Milk allergy and the restaurants

Has anyone had any experience trying to bring a child with milk allergy? DD#2 is pretty bad, and I'd kind of like to plan ahead as much as possible for her...I can see some of my options, like viewing the menu and making special requests 24-48 hrs prior to arrival, just wondering how it's worked out for anyone else.

My DD has milk issues too. We called ahead and made special requests and also brought along CHeerios just in case they weren't able to accomodate. She's really picky too so that doesn't help. The chef came out at every restuarant and ask what he could make for her. They have almost everything as far as ingreients so they can do it all. Good luck. ( Just make sure to have it noted in your PS and to call ahead)

I haven't dealt with this issue personally, but I've read many posts about how WDW handles food allergies, and everything I've read has been very positive. The chefs at every restaurant seem very eager to accomodate your needs and make sure the meal is enjoyable. Decide where you'd like to eat, then call ahead to see what they can do to help you out. I think you'll be pleased with the response you get from WDW.

Last summer I contacted Disney about my daughters milk allergy. They said at every restaurant you can get an ingredient list for all items served and you can call ahead and speak to the head chef at each park.
Also, as of last summer, they told me that all counter service restaurants/ stands that serve ice cream, have RICE DREAM ice cream available.
I would definetly send them an email and find out what esle they have to offer.

Very reassuring. I love hearing they have Rice Cream, too! I think it's vile, but Meredith likes it fine and dandy.

Disney wows me every time with their level of customer service.

I feel so much better, I can't even tell you.
