Military Tickets?

My brother is a Marine and wants to buy us our tickets into Disneyland when we come to visit in Dec. He will only be able to go in to DL with us 2 of the days. Will we have a problem using the military tickets the other day without him there?

If he does, it would only be at the initial use of the tickets (to show his military id). After that it won't be necessary. At least that is how it was for us with the regular military tickets my dad bought for us last year. There is a deal going on right now, and there is some debate as to whether the military member has to be there when the tickets are used for the first time).
