Military ticket to AP

My entire family was planning a big family trip later this year. That has since fallen apart but DH and I have decided we are still going to take our family. The family trip may take place in the spring. If that is confirmed before our trip, I would upgrade my families passes to AP's. I am able to purchase discounted military tickets so my question is, if I have a discounted military ticket am I able to upgrade those an AP just as easily as a regular price ticket? Would I need to use it one day to bridge the pricing? Has anyone actually done this?

You can upgrade them without a problem but there is no price bridging- you will get the amount you paid towards the AP and nothing more. It states that everywhere you buy those tickets.

Thanks. I have never actually used military tickets so I had no idea. I'm waiting to find out the actual pricing for the tickets I want. It may just make sense to buy a UT ticket at a discount and upgrade that in the future.

You can also get a military discount on the AP if you buy it at Shades of Green. I'm not sure what the discount is, though.

On the AP's from Shades of Green, do they do like they do with other tickets and send you the information from them? Like I want to go ahead and purchase AP for Universal now but the trip that I am planning is not until October. I want to be able to book things with my AP discount.
