Military ticket question about dates

So when I was looking into this option I noticed you can purchase and use until 10/1/2011. I am planning on taking my daughter for her 4th birthday to wdw and we are going 10/20-10/27/2011. Does anyone know if they will have a new promotion then for military tickets or if I am just stuck getting the slightly cheaper tickets for when we go.

They may well have a new promotion in place, but of course, that's not public knowledge, yet (in fact, Disney themselves may still be in the long process of hammering-out a promotion for 2011/2012).

Any chance you can bump-up your travel a couple of weeks, early? At least you know you'll be saving big money...

Last year they had that gap between the military promotion tickets, so I would definitely not count on it. There are always discount tickets sold at ITT and Shades, just not as steep as they are now (or were 2 yrs ago) I would try to bump your trip up, or just see how it goes

Yeah, there is always that chance of a gap in promotions. Is there anyway you can bump up your trip so that the tickets cover it? I know it kind of stinks, but it's well worth it!! My hubby comes back from deployment in late August or early September and I'm thinking of booking us a surprise trip, but I am slightly worried about the 10/1 deadline because if he doesn't get home until like Sept. 11th, then, that would leave a VERY short window...so, I guess I'm probably going to wait until the next promotion.

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.
