Military Ticket Discount - Additional Question

Ladies - I've seen the post about Disney renewing the $138 4 day passes. However I have a question? Are these the only ticket discounts given. Basically we're going the week before Easter, its already booked and are not changing and this happens to be thier blackout times. We've of course budgetted ahead and are using the Diseny.com prices for tickets so any money saved is nice, its its going to work without too. If you purchase onbase do they offer other discounts, similiar to AAA. I know its not going to be as great as the $138 but something, right? Sorry and I appreciate any help. I am not military and either is my spouse. My father is and he's traveling with us so I figured maybe I could give him some direction in what to ask. Thanks.

We've already booked housing so I really just need to know if there are other ticket deals if we are traveling blackout dates, if not probably going the AAA route. Thanks

it is compairable to undercover tourist i'd sign up for mouse savers news letter they have a link every month to slightly cheaper undercover tourist tickets. Also shades of green on disney property sells tickets slight discount plus no tax

You can have your dad check with his MWR/ITT office to see the ticket prices they offer. Also you can check out Shades of Greens website and see their prices. Your biggest savings will be not paying the 6.5% tax.

I think you should also look into the MYW tickets that are only available to military staying at SOG or DW resorts, here is the info...Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes Tickets

Magic Your Way Stars and Stripes Tickets are available only for guests who are staying at Shades of Green Resort or who are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort or staying at a Resort located on Walt Disney World Resort. A Military Identification Card or Department of Defense Identification Card and resort I.D. must be presented at time of puchase. Tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Prices and entitlements are subject to change without notice. Original Shades of Green tickets can only be upgraded. Any tickets reprinted at the WDW parks can not be upgraded.

Important note: While Stars and Stripes tickets may not be purchased by guests not staying at Shades of Green or another WDW Resort, guests staying at Shades of Green or another WDW Resort may still purchase regular WDW tickets. We just picked up a Marine Corp Magazine from the USMC museum and there was a page in there noting the military discounts. They had a section where you could go into the PX(that is where our MMR office is) and purchase 4-day basic tix for family or friends (up to 5 tix) for $99 with an upgrade option of $25. You may want to check into that, good luck.

Thanks. We're renting a house. Looks like AAA or the normaly military will work. Next time if we travel with my father we'll definantly pic our days differently. Oh well, a savings is still a savings. Its great they offer that amazing rate. Thanks for everyones help

Your welcome. That deal just ended at the end of Sept. so if the magazine is from Sept. that would explain it!
