They just need to be activated at guest services, they have them at each park and Disney Springs....if you buy through shades of green they should already be activated so you wouldn't even need to do that.

Just to expand on that, all Military issued tickets have to have the military member there to activate the ticket/check in to Shades etc. The tix bought at Shades are activated but they could (technically) ask for ID.

Sure...just as anywhere could ask for any id when you go any place. Yes, if you're checking into Shades you will need a military id somewhere in your party. However if you simply order your military tix through Shades (submitting the order form with the verified military id) Shades will then mail all if your ordered tix already activated. You will not need to activate them again. You will simply walk in the park like everyone else.

If you buy military tix through your local base you will need to make sure you go to guest services with the military member, military id and all other ppl. using a military tix to activate those tix.

My experience is that you must have either the eligible member or their spouse the first time you use the ticket. The fine print says this (spouse is supposed to be primary if member is deployed). I've been stopped at entry every time and had to display either a common access card or dependent id.

but additional entries n the ticket are ok. We just used these in December for additional family members because the military ones have annual passes.
