:confused3 I'm not usre where to post this question..... so please help or point me in the right direction.....I am investigating how you go about getting information on military rates. My daughter, grandaughter and son inlaw are going to Orlando for a week in March. We are renting a home at Windsor Hills and having a mini family reunion. My son in law spent four years in the Marines, and was stationed in Afghanistan after 911. Can they get discounted rates for park tickets and how do they go about getting them? No one in the family is sure how to proceed.

If he is still active duty, he can get ticket vouchers in advance at his base ticket office. He can also go to Shades of Green resort, which is on Disney property near the Polynesian Resort but owned by the Armed Forces. There is a ticket office there. Also, check on the Disboards home page - I want to say that the "news" square up at the top (where right now it has links to Easter dining information) had a blurb last week about buying miiltary tickets online. Scroll down that box and look.

Hope this helps!

If someone is Active Duty, retired or a dependent of Active Duty service member they can go to Shades of Green and buy discounted tix. www.shadesofgreen.org

Right now they are having 40% military discounts at WDW resorts for certain times in the next coming months.

From your post it sounds like your SIL is no longer active duty, if this is the case then I don't know of any MIL discounts available. If your SIL was retired or medically retired and still eligible for benefits then you should be able to get the discount.

Also if your SIL is Active Duty or Retired you can get free admission to Sea World or Busch Gardens till the end of the year through the the Heroes Salute.

Hope this is helpful!! My hubby is a Marine, so I know all about the discounts.
