Military promos?

Unfortunately DL is not offering the same military promotion that WDW is. They do offer a military discount at the on-property resorts, however. I believe it works out to something like 10%, but they only have a certain number of rooms blocked out for the discount, so you have to call and get a quote and see if they are available.

If you check with your local MWR, they also offer ticket and hotel discounts if you purchase through them. The MWR discount varies by your location. Here in SoCal, our MWR discount rate is only $0.25 (yes, you read that correctly) cheaper for a one-day hopper, but about $60 cheaper for the 5-day park-hoppers. When DL offers a special online promotion, it has always been cheaper for me to just order online directly through DL, but it's definitely worth looking into at the MWR in your area.

They had a really great ticket promo last year, and I thought they didn't have anything at all for this year until I got onto my base's ITT website to look up the prices I posted below. It says you can buy a 5 Day Hopper for the price of a 3 Day Hopper, and it comes with a Magic Morning. Valid 1 May - 31 October. I doubt that's only available thru my base, so i'd suggest checking with your ITT.

If you can't get that tho, or those dates don't work (they don't for us, we're going in december :sad1:), here's what my ITT has posted as their normal (adult) prices, valid thru January '11:

1 day hopper- gate= $97, ITT= $91.50
2 day hopper- gate= $151 , ITT= $131
3 day hopper- gate= $204, ITT= $158.50
4 day hopper- gate= $229, ITT= $166.50
5 day hopper- gate= $249, ITT= $172.50

It also lists a voucher for the Castle Inn, at $90 a night...but that one may just be my base. Definitely worth at least looking into tho. Hope this helped, at least a little.

The 5-for-3 promotion is available to anyone through Disney's website, not just military.

The prices at ITT are barely lower. It's not even worth the drive to base for me (an hour away). I am just going to purchase my AP online.

wow, sorry. like i said, i was looking at my ITT's website and they had listed as the "thanks to the troops" promo.

Lol really? That's kind of sneaky! Here you think you're getting a great deal and then find out later you paid the same as everyone else!

Here in San Diego, our MWR AP prices are exactly the same as the Disney price - no savings whatsoever.

I notice that too I went to my local ITT office expecting a package deal but no I have the list of prices with me:

Disneyland Park Hopper 5 day adult: $181 (that's 3 dollars cheaper)
Disneyland Park Hopper 5 day Child: $160 (that's 6 dollars more)

so no deal! I was really dissapointed. Even with the hotels I think I can get a better deal tru costco travel than the vouchers they sell on post.

DH works on the Amphib Base on Coronado (when he's not deployed like he is now, bleck lol :) )

My husband is getting ready for #4 in less than 4 years. It's getting old! lol We live up in Riverside County though, we own a house.

I haven't heard MWR since I was a kid and on an AF base. The MC bases we've been on call it ITT. No idea why the difference.

Nevermind. I just realized you said AP prices. Panic attack over.

That is why you shouldn't post UNTIL you've had some coffee.

BOOO! That means you're much closer to DL than me haha. DH works on the Amphib Base on Coronado (when he's not deployed like he is now, bleck lol :) )

My DS23 is based at Coronado too :) he's a rescue swimmer (insert proud mommy blush here lol) he's up here in Mendo visiting us right now :) I was checking this thread hoping for some military discount for him, he never looks himself and pays full price at the ticketbooth (oh the horror) won't even look into the socal APs! Where did I go wrong? :lmao: just joking he's a great kid even tho he should know better! :rotfl:

We've always gone through ITT to get our tickets and sometimes hotel but like previous posters said, its just not a deal compared to what you can get through Disney Travel and Costco.

We booked through Costco this year and the 5-for-3, free character meal, and Early Entry are worth it to us.

You do NOT get Magic Mornings w/ the military hoppers. :(

Anyone know of any military ticket nd or room deals that are currently going on?

I can't remember if it was our local MWR or the one in San Diego, but when I called & got quotes on the 2 & 3-day PH ticket prices, it was about $20 cheaper per adult!
