I have a question about the use of park hoppers purchased through the military... My brother is a Coast Guard active duty member and has offered to buy us our passes through his MWR office. He and his family will be with us on our trip, but they are usually later risers than we are, and may not always be entering the park at the same time. So my question is, does anyone ask for a military id, or check to see if your sponsor is with you when you enter the gates? Thanks in advance for your help!

We have purchased park hoppers twice thru the Marines and no one has ever checked anything. Our friend is a fire fighter on base and we use his discount all the time (before we had APs)

I wouldn't worry about it...

We have purchased them for very good friends before and they have never been questioned. I've always told them to say they were "gifts". We use them every time we go and WE have never been questioned before either. Enjoy the discount!! and your trip.

When we used military tickets (Army) we were told they were actually "Friends & Family" tickets so you do NOT need to show ID. At that time (2006) it was acceptable to buy for friends or family.

Thank you so much, you have really put my mind at ease about using them without my brother present at all times!!:thumbsup2
