Military Discounts?

My boyfriend and I are going to WDW in December and he's active duty. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not they give any discounts at the resorts for military. We are probably going to stay at WL and reall have no interest in staying at SOG. We're also going at the value time so no hope of overflow discounts from SOG. Thanks for your help!

Have you thought about the Gov't. discount at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts?

Government -- Eligible employees are U.S. Federal and State employees,
National Government employees, active military personnel, Amtrak employees,
and Canadian Provincial employees. The guest will be required to provide
government or military identification supporting this at check-in.
Room may be booked for Business or Pleasure.

Last Dec we used the military discount for AKL. It was a 40% savings. Call disney reservations and ask about the discount to see if it was extended. Good Luck!

Is there an ITT office on your base/post?
The ITT office here at Moody AFB has advertised up to 40% select rooms...you have to call them for details. I don't know how long that promotion will last for. Your best bet may be to contact your ITT office and ask them...you may be able to book through them directly, or get a code to use when you call Disney to make your own reservations.

The only time Disney resorts have military discounts is when they run a big "thank you salute".

I know when they had the last two (after 911 and after the war started) my husband's command passed it in the POD (plan of the day). Our base really made an effort to make sure everyone knew about them (base newspaper, fliers, etc.) because they were GREAT deals.

Tell him to keep an eye out.

The last military discount expired 12/24/04. I, too, am hoping that something comes out for this spring. Mousesavers.com usually has all of the discounts listed, but nothing yet for the military.

As for SOG, now that they have expanded, it is much more difficult to get overflow rates.

There is a Heroes Salute going on at Anheuser Busch parks - Sea World and Busch Gardens. Military member gets a free admission, as well as free admission for up to three dependents. Go to herosalute.com to register.

I know for a fact that right now there is no military discount, I asked for one when I made our reservation for POP, for this week. Check SOG, see if they are booked for when you want to go, and if they are, you can get an overflow rate. I think I would be shot if I didn't ask, since when I brief FTAC, I always tell them it doesn't hurt to ask, and you would be surprised what all company's give them!

Hello... I never knew the Swan and Dolphin offered government rates... do you know how much it is?
