MIlitary discounts??

Is DL offering a military promotion this year similar to WDW? We have a trip planned for WDW at Christmas but I was thinking of squeezing in a surprise trip to DL this summer for my DDs 13th birthday.
It seems every offer I find is only for WDW

At the moment no, but when I called last week the CM hinted that they typically offer the Soldier Salute at the end of August-Thanksgiving. She said it was $99 for the soldier and he/she could purchase up to 5 more passes for the same amount. I am taking that to mean that they will be doing it this year, but nothing has been posted on their sites as of yet.

The 2010 Armed Forces Salute is NOT valid at DL....that is why you're only finding information for Disney World.

I don't know what the CM was hinting about the soldier salute "usually" being august-thanksgiving...last year it was January-June at DL, and all year at WDW. DH and I used it for our march 2009 trip to DL.

I spoke with DL's ticketing office after the offer became valid for WDW, and they specifically said it would not be happening at DL this year--so, while I'm watching and would like to take advantage of it--I'm not counting on it.

That said--DH and I are going in April, and we're going to take advantage of the current special offer on tickets that's valid if you activate your tickets by April 29th. The cost of a 5 day park hopper is $169 which is only $4 more dollars than the regular 3 day park hopper is through our base's MWR office.

Yup, no DL promotion yet, so your MWR is your best bet. Since we are stationed in SoCal, our MWR literally only saves us between $0.25 and $5.00 on tickets, but other bases in different locations have different prices, so hopefully yours will more of a value!
