Military Discount

Disney and Universal have both just released similar offers but at this time they have not extended them to Coalition Forces and are only paying tribute to US forces. Heres hoping they realise our contribution was just as great as the US troops and open their offer to us Brits. It would be nice to have our efforts recognised and rewarded in some small way for a change.

Lots of us have already banged out e-mails to Disney about offering the discounts to all coalition troops. Probably wouldn't hurt to add a few more. Hopefully, they'll change their minds.

I have just received an email from 'Shades of Green' thanking me for my enquiry however they will not allow British Military to stay on site unless we come under direct command of an American Headquarters - which I dont.

If you all want something to do email them on our behalf. If they then change their mind we will send you all a post card.

Shades of Green is currently being rehabbed and they're putting the military folks up at a wing at the Contemporary. While it's a great deal, it's also a bit of hassle. They're typically booked a year out.

The Swan & Dolphin will give discounts to UK Military - this was available prior to the war in Iraq and continues.

Ooooops, Sorry Shirley, have just read it. Many thanks for looking into it for us. We will certainly have a look next time we book. Unfortunately we cant book until we arrive at Sandhurst in October and see what leave I can get.
