Hi all, I was reading a thread below about a military discount. My sister is active duty, stationed in Hawaii, but will be visiting us this week. My family has a trip planned for Sept and I'm curious about the discount.

1. how would my sister go about obtaining discounted tickets?
2. is it considered a no-no for her to purchase us tickets using her discount if she is not coming on the trip?

Thanks for the info!

That's good to know. I would hate to have her buy them for us and then not be able to use them once we get to DL.

She can either by them on base or at DL. However she must be there to activate them, only the member or spouse is the only people who can do this. She would need to activate them when she is there visiting you. Once they are activated you are good to go.

Hmm, I'm assuming you mean they need to be activated at DL. Unfortunately, we live in Las Vegas (where she'll be visiting us), so that's not an option. Oh well, thanks for the info!

Yes, it is bad for her to buy them and not be there! Sorry...but if she is not going, she should not buy you HER tickets.... IMHO....sorry to be debbie downer!!!
