Military Discount question

My husband was in the coast guard for four years active and two years inactive Wondering if that qualifies him for the military discount. I'm thinking not but it sure would be nice!

I think there are certain deep discounted tickets only available to active or retired military, however there is a wider range of eligibility (for instance DoD civilians) that can purchased discounted tickets and not have to pay sales tax. The eligibility list can be found at http://www.shadesofgreen.org/eligibility.htm .

If you do not have a current valid military active, reserve or retired ID card or DOD or contractor common access card.you are not eligible for any of the military discounts regardless if they are thru disney or thru MWR ( the discounts listed on the shades of green site). the CAC card is only valid for certain MWR discounts and does not qualify you for any discounts that specify a military ID card.

A valid military ID card for VA rated 100% disabled is also accepted.

It won't help you for the current promotion, but Shades of Green does allow honorably discharged members to stay at SOG during the months of Sept and Jan if they have the proper form. Give them a call if you are interested and they can give further details. The money saved on the room could help toward the regular cost of tickets.
