Military Discount for Universal Hotels?

Just wondering if anyone has gotten a recent military discount at any of the Universal on site hotels and what it was?

Interested too...Thinking bout staying at RPH for a quick visit to US/IOA after DCL in June '11. Anyone able to get a military rate for 2011 yet? (sorry, did not mean to hijack your thread OP)...

I keep calling for military rates for June 2011 and keep getting told "they haven't been released yet- call back in a couple of weeks." I went ahead and booked a room thru AAA because I would hate for the rooms to book up before they finally release the military rates! I will cancel the AAA room if we can get a military rate. I call every 2 weeks or so....hopefully we will know soon!

I called tonight (11/14) and was able to get a military rate for Hard Rock for next June. Our rate was $230, which was 30% off the rack rate. That was for one night. Hope that helps someone!

What kind of military ID do you need for this?? We have a family dependant card, wonder if that would work as DH won't be travelling with us, just my son and I are going alone this trip. Also do they honour military discount for Canadian military members?

Sorry....I do not know the answer to either question! My husband is active duty and will be with us, so we will use his ID. I also do not know about military outside of the US. You can probably call Universal and ask!
